Sometimes, people get pissed at the upwards career trajectory of the individual in question who wronged them. So yes, there could be a threshold.
People can rationalize away their silence with a “he’s just a…” but sometimes the infuriating thought that the perpetrator might not only get away with it but progress in media/politics on a national level can push people to talk.
I don’t deny the possibility of any of these events having taken place.
We’re talking about deeply traumatic events that happened to them when they were teenagers. Does that influence your opinion as well? Might that not mitigate their ‘guilt’?
There’s no actual guilt to mitigate-there’s no crime(assuming the accusations are true). I said, “I’d certainly agree that they’re guilty of allowing him to remain free for all that time.” If not they, then who? Nobody else knew of what they claim happened(except for the girl’s mother, of course…but that was still long after the fact).

The dem in me wants to defend him by saying that she agreed to the kiss in the skit and the picture, while in poor taste, looks to be a joke since he’s posing for the camera, it’s not clear he’s actually touching her and she is wearing a flak jacket/vest. She also appears to be republican.
