Back when I was a Gunner’s Mate on a ship(back when we still had 1911s), we used to take the pistols after shooting(and before cleaning) and mash the muzzle against our forearm. The carbon residue would leave a distinctive black mark, like a temp tattoo. Kinda dumb I know, but I always thought that would be a cool tat(although you would have to explain it to just about everyone who saw it).
