Glad to hear the spotlight is off your friend and fully onto the officer.
Share the stories if you want, I am sure others out there are as interested as me.

Okay friend that was involved for all this just today finally got this settled, they dismissed the charges against him.
However the FBI have been in contact with him about this officer and of course my friend is seeking civil restitution for all its cost him out of pocket to fight the charges.

Thats great news for your friend. I am sure he won’t have much trouble winning his civil case now that charges are being dropped. Most municipalities will settle these out of court as well.
Did your friend say why the Feds are getting involved? This is unusual.
No he did not just that he was contacted by an Officer, my wife of course has not been contacted by them either.
This officer actually went through 3 cities “chasing” my friend to cut/run him off the road.
I got more story since the first post, since I have become friends with this guy since the OP.
If the Feds are involved they must be considering charging the Officer with a Federal law violation(s). They usually alow the State to pursue charges and not pursue it federaly.
Additionaly, Your friend should get more than his legal fees covered. I am sure his attorney is looking into civil rights violations as well. This is where the big dollars are.
He just wants to move on and not be out of pocket money, he does have twin 5 year old girls to worry about. As long as this “officer” gets what he deserves is really all he cares about.
Speaking of police abuse, what would yall do in this situation?
My little brother was pulled over and harassed by the cops a few weeks back. They had him out of the car for over an hour, the cop patted him down multiple times, including putting on rubber gloves and getting all up in his junk. They brought in the drug dog after he refused to have his car searched. He had no drugs or alcohol (he’s under 21), but the drug dog alerted anyway.
Anyways, they end up finding nothing, and after a bunch of tough guy bravado from the officers they finally let him go
Speaking of police abuse :
My grand-mother was pulled over and harassed by the cops a few years back. They had her out of the car for over an hour, the cop patted her down times. They had her car searched (my little sister was inside). She had no drugs or alcool or weapons (over 70), but they insisted anyway.
They end up finding nothing, and after a bunch of tough guy bravado from the officers (hitting the car with their boots and their sticks), they finally let her (and my terrified sister) go.
My grand-mother was an old conservative woman, ex-wife of a french resistant, a faithful practicing catholic.
She has been deeply shocked by this event, and never really recovered after that.
actually, her health suddenly began to deteriorate and she died from a perforated ulcera a few weeks after that.
My sister had recurring nightmares for month.
Weeks after the fact, we finally learned that the policemen arrested her because they thought she was planning to help a Basque prisoner to evade from jail…
