I took a week off first break in well over 2 months. Today was the first day back with Heavy Deadlifts since I have not Deadlifted really since the last video I posted.
Reverse Band Deadlifts: 135 for 3 sets of 3
185 for 2 sets of 3
225 for 2 sets of 2
275 for 1 set of 1
295 for 1 set of 1
315 for 2 sets of 1
Ab Table Crunches: 4 sets of 15
Pulldowns: 4 sets of 10 with 70
The Deadlifts were a massive PR for me and felt great really good motivation going into November
Nice job on deadlifts! I love them so much. It was also great hearing “hips, hips” in the background Having a person who cheers you on and is supportive is really great and important.
Oh, and, just finished my Ph.D. in clinical psychology so if you ever have questions, please let me know. Whether about current stuff, applying for graduate programs, etc. I had amazing mentors in undergrad and grad school (both peer and faculty mentors), so I believe strongly that having people who take the time to answer questions is HUGE. I am actually starting my first year teaching psychology students (AGH) next week so I am super excited.
Just wanted to post these up as I am extremely proud of her for it and I know she is too but, is way to modest to post them. But Kristi was invited to model for a car shoot. She has never in any way modeled in her life and was asked a week in advance and she some how still pulled it off. These are the only pics we have seen so far much more to come.

thank you! I definitely will I plan to go to my masters not sure about PhD. I’ll definitely be looking to you for help soon. I’m sure.
This is an awesome thread for alot of reasons. I’ve had my wife training PL style for awhile, but I can’t talk her into doing a meet. I’m hoping this thread will help open her up a bit. Cheers to you both, and nice work on the lifts. If you can get a womens mind set on training, they’ll make us guys look lazy every time.
Just picked up on this post. I’m use to seeing you around on the other forums.
First off, I envy the fact your wife is as passionate about the sport as you are. I have an entire setup in a separate building at my house and all my wife wants to do is the elliptical. Ow well, at least she stays in shape.
As for your wife’s videos; I love how she uses her hips. The ass back first movement is going to take her to higher weights. I was wondering about her bench, kind of hard to tell but does she ride her elbows in? Will she be using a shirt in comp?

Maybe she will get interested in lifting eventually have her look at this thread and show her its possible for a woman to be strong and still look like a woman… At least I hope every agrees Kristi looks like a woman haha.
As for the hip back first luckily since we are training with Sam Byrd he has really helped her a ton with her squatting style. She used to sit straight down but ever since she started training with us about 3 months ago her max Squat has climbed from 115 to 160 for 5 done today.
She tucks her elbows on the way down because ot helps her stay tight but if you notice I know not the best view but, about half way up she flares them pretty good until lockout. But the habit was taught to her by a friend of ours who only benches in a shirt at meets and she was learning from him alot and after putting a shirt on one time she basically said fuck this and went Raw but still has a few equipped tendencies.

I would would have given my left nut to add 45 lbs to my max. One nice thing about the early years in your lifting are the quick gains. Not so for this ol’ dog.

I don’t think anyone enjoyed the first time they put a shirt on. You think it sucks for a guy, I couldn’t imagine what it would be like having “C” cups squeezed together, OUCH! BTW, nice pic, she can really work it!
Hahaha agreed I put a shirt on once and it bruised me and destroyed my shoulders haha never again its raw for ever for me.
Thanks man was her very first shoot had no idea what she was doing. Literally was invited like 5 days before the shoot out of no where. SO for such little prep I don’t think she could have done any better.
Sorry for the delay have been working extra hours at work, final in school, and some small modeling stuff going on so have been kinda crazy around here. Just for the sake of time I am only going to post up the meat and potatoes of each session as opposed to the entire session rep for rep.
Tuesday August 20, 2013
Bench Press: 85lbs for 5 sets of 5. Focused on pausing each rep and really perfecting technique here.
WIde Pulldowns: 70lbs for 4 sets of 12.
Sunday August 25, 2013
Back Squat: 155lbs for 2 sets of 3 and 1 set of 7.
Rack Pull: 185lbs for 3 sets of 5
Tuesday August 27, 2013
Bench Press: 95lbs for 2 sets of 3 and 1 set of 8. Huge PR
Wide Pulldowns: 85lbs for 4 sets of 6
Sunday September 1, 2013- Video Below
Front Squat: I worked up to 4 sets of 135 for singles.
Sumo Deadlift: 225 for 1. This was so light and easy I went back and pulled for a triple.
Sumo Deadlift off of 4in Block: 225 for 5.
Monday September 2, 2013
Bench Press: 105lbs for 2 set of 2 then 1 set of 5. This was another massive PR last time I tried this weight it stapled to my chest.
Wide Pulldown: 85 for 4 sets of 8
Hammer Curl: 10lbs for 4 sets of 10
Nose Breakers: 45lbs for 3 sets of 5
Nice job on both the front squats and the dead lift. I train fronts as an accessory on my deadlift day and swear by them for bringing up my dead lift numbers.
I know too many guys who can’t even pull 200lbs of the floor while this chick is doing 300lbs at approximately 130lbs bodyweight.
Keep up the good work!
Training day at the Rush with Dustin
