Lol. This thread man… I’m remembering why I almost never engage in this forum.
Apparently wanting people to understand homosexual behavior is a natural part of a small percentage of human sexuality, and many other species, and therefore not an evil behavior to vilify people for, and wanting them to be allowed to get married like everyone else is forcing people to Celebrate homosexual practices.
That Obama’s policies, ie stimulus spending, increased month over month employement. That is what the graph is saying, correct?
I’d want to know if the way unemployment was counted stayed consistent over that time frame. I’d also consider whether the increase in employement was a natural progression after a decline in employement resulting from the recession.
A few years ago, it was “normal”–that is, it ‘conformed to a standard; was usual, typical or expected’–that women couldn’t vote, own property, were legally subsumed to and possessed by their husbands, etc.
A few years ago, it was “normal” to own black people.
You sure you want to go with the ‘normal’ argument here?
You used the word normal with “heteronormative”. Teaching children that heterosexuality is common is like teaching them the sky is blue or that a day has 24 hours.
Note the shift here–from ‘normal’ to ‘common.’ These words, while related, are not interchangeable. Heterosexuality is unquestionably more common than is homosexuality. But this fact doesn’t mean heterosexuality is normal, with the inescapable implication that homosexuality is abnormal.
If one is arguing for teaching a purely heteronormative perspective, one is, by definition, teaching intolerance.
France has. I believe states have sought medical care for children when their parents thought prayer was enough. Muslims are not allowed to kill the creators of South Park.
Communism is a secular religion, to Lenin’s dismay, so they just traded one god for another.
