Quoting for accuracy. Even arguably one of the worst POTUS candidates in the history of this country still won by ~3mil warm bodies. (although I heard Trump won if you remove all the election fraud from those damn illegals)
I agree with this, Lonnie…200%
But what you said will never, ever come from a Conservatives Lips…(nor Trump’s…)
Sure it will. It just has to happen the other way around. They happily blamed Obama and democrats for any ills Bush handed them, and now Republicans are already taking credit for the economy as I have just quoted above.
He lost? That’s weird, I wasn’t aware of this. What a weird thing he’s being called the President of the US of A.
Revelations.
Some did some voted for him. Some voted against Trump some voted for Hilary, Semantics are fun.
The where is important here. Things don’t happen in a bubble. They voted for her in urban pockets.
Remember it. write it down. take a picture. I don’t give a fuck.
I’m aware control of congress shifts like the wind. We’d all be in real trouble if one party controlled anything in any substantial way. I’m not really sure what your point is…
If memory serves, I’ve asked you this before: How do you think those other countries are going to respond if we cut our corporate tax rate?
Its akin to writing a term paper the night before it’s due and submitting it without proofreading it first. The hasty ‘cadence’ makes the likelihood of an error far greater.
You betcha, which is why they just passed a tax bill they know is going to add to the debt–the higher the debt, the more compelling the ‘We gotta cut entitlements!’ argument.
I’m aware - the way his was framed made it seem, to me obviously, that it was just the hasty writing that produced errors and unintended consequences.
I merely pointed out those things appear in even well crafted documents. Being a doctor, I’m sure you can appreciate that - or at least those working peripheral to you if they have to read your handwriting ![]()
Considering they can’t print the world reserve fiat currency or slash their spending significantly… not much.
You’d prefer we just keep spending money we don’t have for generations? At some point there will be a reconing. They’ve been spending the SS trust fund money since 1936. It has never, ever been saved for retirees as promised. When private citizens do that it’s called a ponzi scheme.
It’s just a bad analogy. It doesn’t resemble the reality of the election in any way, shape, or form. Your are using words evoking visions of Nazi Germany so as to exasperatingly associate Trump with Hitler (never heard that before). Second, Poland’s ineptitude to stop Nazi Germany from invading it’s country.
There is plenty of blame to go around… The democrats could have not shit on Sanders. They could have come up with a viable candidate that isn’t repulsive as hot shit in the summer sun. This is a democratic republic, people are voted in and voted out. Nobody was forced.
Feel free to refrain from commenting then, there is no need to broadcast your ignorance.
Well, they can’t print world-reserve fiat currency now, so that doesn’t seem relevant. As for whether they can slash spending, I don’t know how you can be so certain they can’t. Me, I am of the opinion that they will simply slash their rates in response to any rate cuts we enact, and thus we will be no better off than we were before.
I’d prefer the GOP not engage in its cynical, hypocritical and counterproductive ‘starve the beast’ approach to entitlement reform.
I don’t see him being that successful… His approvals are in the toilet. Every week its one shit storm after another. If he survives “this Russier thing” he’s a goner in 2020 as long as Dems produce a warm body that’s not a Clinton preferably a brown guy… #brownguy2020
Well, that didn’t take long…
WHAT???
“Ryan cites concerns over the Federal Deficit…”
After THIS tax bill?
Would it be unseemly for me to say I told you so at this juncture?
Not at all, ED…
Why so?
Democrats: “the deficit! We can’t cut taxes! The deficit!”
Republicans: “Let’s cut spending then.”
Democrats: “noooo!”
Your inability to understand the analogy doesn’t make it bad by default ![]()
Agreed, which is why I wholeheartedly believe absolutely nobody should “own” Trump being POTUS except the people that voted for him.
Democrats: “Maybe we don’t need to spend as much as the next 10 countries combined on our military??”
Republicans: You’re Right, add 80 billion to its budget
Also
Republicans : the deficit! The deficit! We have to address it!
Republicans: here is our tax plan that adds over 1.4 trillion to the deficit
My whole issue with the Supreme Court is that the conservatives on the court want to legislate
morality. That’s a failed bit. And yes I’m pro choice.
I don’t like abortion so I won’t have one.
As far as taxes, I don’t have a problem with cutting them but this plan really only cuts for the corporations and the rich. Trickle down economics has already been proven as a failure. This plan will add so much to the deficit. It’s funny how republicans only care about the deficit when they are out of power. Once they are in charge the spend like a drunken sailor.
Both extremes want to legislate their version of morality.
For example, a radical rightist may want to make homosexual sex illegal.
And a radical leftist may want to force people to accept and celebrate homosexual practices and indoctrinate children into their beliefs.
I’m an increasingly radical libertarian. I want both the gays and the bakers to be left alone.
