Why Not HCG Monotherapy?

Thanks for responding mate :+1:t4:

Yes checked with pharmacy as was freaking out! Yes had a 2,500 iu in one go (as was confirmed in this chat that would be 1ml as mixed 5000iu with 2 ml bac water or a little less). However, some people have had doses of 2000 iu 3 x per week so im assuming it can’t be too bad.

Only felt anxiety/jitters super spike this morning though and took that on Monday.

Had another 500iu today and will just continue with 500iu 3 x per week on M W F next week (if issues subside).

If they don’t, ill get off this too and just cold turkey or try the SERM nolvadex when its time for PCT.

This whole process has been a bloody nightmare for TRT and then this…due to Drs don’t know what they are doing, different opinions and useless protocols from them and so called specialists! No port of contact really apart from forums like this, but unfortunately responses are delayed which is to be expected to be fair as people have work/other constraints.

I’ve got off TRT as i’m a smoker and fertility reasons. Trying to stop smoking but its easier said than done, i used to be a major cannabis addict, however ive cut down to 1 joint per night to aid this as much as possible as its the only thing that helps me sleep. However, i believe theres a major issue with blood clots if on TRT and smoking.

I will get hopefully end this process, get T to be where it was or higher hopefully, even if this is just in normal range, then re-commence TRT when stopped smoking or Jatenzo is introduced!

If there was a TRT method which didnt raise red bloods cells/hemocrit/hemoglobin as much i’d favour that for sure… heard sub q is good for this so prob avenue to go when return to it tbh

@bbb-steve

Wondering if above is due to coming off TRT and on HCG now, would you know at all?
This is a nightmare as don’t know if E2 is high, Prolactin, Progesterone or anything else… as Dr’s wont do bloods either atm

@bbb-steve

Just wondering about above if you know at all too mate please?

I was wondering if you were doing this on your own by the nature of your questions. But, hCG is not easy to get underground. So, you have a rx through a doctor. You need to sit down with your doctor and gain a good understanding of what you are doing, including reconstitution, dosing and injection. I think you will see a better result that way.

Yes it is through underground, dr would not prescribe so id appreciate any assistance/guidance possible to the above questions/queries if possible please.

Please take a look and answer any if possible.

Not really liking the side effects at the moment, feeling sick nauseous, some uncomfortable gut motions but that might have been to do with the high dose of 2,500 iu at start of week, just had a 500iu today, but thinking what’s best way to wean off it?

Read a lot on this site and HCG doesn’t seem to do well with a lot of ppl and more harm than good?

I have noticed major pains in fingers, knees, elbows etc since coming off test, is this due to hcg or is this helping me with smoother transition to come off?

If i was to come off this, i cant really start SERM (nolvadex) until 11/06/2023 thats when Sustanon 250 will be out of system, or can i start it earlier and just come off this?

I can’t really feel any atrophy from the testicles at all. Also feeling a little itchy around nips and breast areas at times, when did 2,500iu but cant feel as much now. Worried about weight gain though as already have a little water weight But is Aromisin the best AI if need it? And how much to take? Worried about too much estrogen and then unremovable weight gain?

Please let me know your thoughts and any other responses from above questions, im really very grateful indeed for any responses :+1:t4:

I’ve come off TRT cold turkey in the past and never experienced any such symptoms. The only thing that has ever caused pain in my bones was the use of an AI

What country are you from? I’d be cautious about doing anything without having the necessary blood tests available to you

I was also a smoker whilst on TRT. I managed to quit quite easily with an e-cigarette lowering the nicotine content as and when I felt I could

I wouldn’t start an AI until I had blood test results as crashing your e2 won’t be fun at all, and your already experiencing pain in your bones as it is

Be careful, mostly outliers on this site.

Men do not have very much hCG in their system. Therefore, many do not respond well with very high dosing. I have not seen anyone that did not respond well (fertility wise) with 1500-3000IU a week. You could take the 500IU x3, give it a couple of months, and get checked to evaluate response.

@highpull please let us know your thoughts on above if possible? :pray:t4:

Im also experiencing some headaches now and then since had hcg.

Would i need nolva after hcg to kick start system? Since wasn’t on TRT for long?

No, you would not.

Is this definitely the case?? I thought needed a SERM after hcg administered? however, my LH was a 3.5 before i started and FSH 3.6, SHBG has always been low at 15-18 max

Just thinking if there’s any chance i should do it then i’d rather do a small nolva course to ensure? As don’t want to go thro process all over, but if defo not needed, then ill just come off the hcg and get tested in a while?

When this was checked months before LH was raised to 6.7 and FSH 6.9, so not sure of that was just a one off why was that raised or?

Hi @Ami41

I know you mentioned one of the reasons your stopping TRT is for fertility. Are you planning on having a child soon?

I know you mentioned stopping HCG shortly but obviously if your testosterone levels were low pre TRT then it’s very likely your sperm will not be very good without a serm or HCG. I personally took clomid for 5 years and felt decent on it, whilst also having a really good sperm count

Have you considered clomid until you return to TRT?

@highpull

Please can you explain this above if possible?

Very much appreciated :+1:t4:

Yes if its possible, or ill just stay off to see if can improve this naturally and see hat results are, ive had 2 kids before so hopefully its possible

Tried this previously but had major visual issues with it and thats why thought id do nolvadex this time

I’m just not ready for a life long commitment of TRT just yet tbh.

@highpull has mentioned might not need this and hcg may be enough?

@systemlord

You mentioned this previously on one of your posts…

Testicles are very active, they have dropped and there is movement that only occurs when testicles are functioning properly. It’s looking like vascular issues which could easily cause low energy, low libido and weak erections.

@blshaw @BrickHead @highpull @systemlord

@swoops39

Can you explain how long you should take HCG and how should testicles feel, if testicles have dropped, then should you stop this?

Im in the 4th week since last had injection
Had muscle aches, bones aching and popping, forearm pains etc… waited 2 weeks and started HCG.

I’ve had the following doses of HCG:

Week 1 - 2,500iu then 500 iu 3 days later
Week 2 - 500 iu x 3
Should i do another week of 500 iu?

I wouldn’t say the balls feel atrophied.

Or just go onto nolvadex or is this even needed? My LH was high enough when started TRT. @highpull stated might not need to do this part?

@systemlord

How long should i be doing HCG (for before beginning PCT - nolvadex? As clomid causes side effects?) without getting labs, as in how should testicles feel regarding your above previous statement about how testicles feel please?

How’s your libido on HCG?

Diabetic hypertension is what led to my low T diagnosis. Cialis and beta-blockers drop my testicles.

I had a diabetes check H1AC before in March this year and it was low so no issues regarding diabetes dr said? I also eat hardly no sugar at all. Last time checked it was at 28 mmol.

Blood pressure was also fine between 115-120 before started TRT.

Can you please address the other queries stated above regarding:

  • How testicles should feel on hcg before i come off
  • Hcg issues - how long should i be on this?
  • Pct - nolva needed or not?

Im in the 4th week since last had injection
Had muscle aches, bones aching and popping, forearm pains etc… waited 2 weeks and started HCG. - these pains are what you desribed too in a previous post? How long do they last before decreasing

Is my natural test increasing while on HCG or is it given a chance to increase a little so when come off there will be something to fall on?

Atm i have stopped goimg to the gym, should i be aiming to get back into it or? Obviously arms legs joints in pain, but should i be pushing it or? Worried about doing an injury!

If possible please?

@systemlord @highpull @blshaw @swoops39

There is no specific amount of time to be on HCG. It depends on what you’re using it for. I have never in 20 years felt anything in my testicles from TRT and HCG. And HCG, though it increased my sperm count, has done nothing for my testicular atrophy in years of using it.

Thanks @BrickHead yes i see what you mean, i was referring to @systemlord and hos statement provided a while back:

So taking this into consideration, was just asking what does he mean here and when you feel this is it the right time to come HCG etc

Im just coming off TRT as need to have a kid, having major side effects due to an abysmal dosage protocol from urologist and not ready to make the full commitment quite yet, may revisit in a year or two… my test levels were crap but I’m starting to understand maybe why, need plenty of animal fats, where before i was avoiding any fats/saturated or not.
I was eating chicken but thats lean meat really, going to get off all this and eat 4 x eggs per day and eat beef steak for 3 months, then see where i am…

So just coming off using Nebido for 3 months and then 3 x injections of Sust 250, (1 x 2 weeks) using HCG and then go onto nolvadex (if this is needed?)

I’ve had the following doses of HCG:

Week 1 - 2,500iu then 500 iu 3 days later
Week 2 - 500 iu x 3
