Wow, nothing like incoherent rambling there, Boltboy.
Nothing I wrote was incoherent.
Super. I still don’t believe you.
I love my country, not killing people. No man should take glee in killing another, even if they do so unapologetically in defense of the country they love.
Outside of the quite obvious reason that this is a morally bankrupt position, but you’d be no asset to fighting for your country, because if you “love killing enemies” so much, you’d have no good sense of when to stop killing - and yes, there is a time to stop.
Nope, best explanation is that you haven’t read closely enough and are consistently missing the point. Probably the result of the Illuminati or the Rothchilds invading your brain with radio waves, or more likely, something shiny flew past and you got distracted.

Here comes the ‘slobbering wet kiss of our enemies’ time. Uhhh…just where you gonna kiss 'em?
The only time you stop killing terrorists is when they’re all dead.

Dumbass assumes that the best way to serve your country is to be a soldier.
Forget about your doctors, vets, bin men, etc. Forget about scientists, entertainers etc.
In most people’s case, what I wrote would be a strawman. Not in yours I suspect.
You wrote initially what I thought. HH’s post made me think of this:
Makkun, yes, and that is great reference.
As an aside, at a pre-election party (I always go to one the night before and the night of), I asked a colleague (retired colonel, now in private sector) what he thought your “Himmelstoss” attitude - he described them as wannabe bottom-feeders who, because they get no respect in real life, lust for violence and an attitude of “love to kill” so they can project toughness, but are the last kind of soldier you want, because either they are full of manure (and they are actually cowards to the core) or they are unhinged, loathesome and put everyone in danger.

I never served, but trained and trained with a lot of SO/SF for advanced hand to hand and close quarter combat, that is generally who is at my house for parties, dinners, kids birthdays.
and while they may not voice it like HH, there is some sentiment of disdane for the fact that our soldiers are being forced to act more like a peace corp, that they are trained for battle and then told not to fight, even with your life in danger.
In fact we have started our own little group of farmers, we by land in the same areas, gather all the nessecities in case they aren’t available tomorrow, and ensure an adequate diversity of skills within the group.
If we are at war, fight the war, win and take the oil, if not leave. and give no support in any way to these areas of opposistion.

you can not agree with me, but in my mind I believe in levitcal and saxon law for war. But only a real war, not a political mission.
I know a cheesy quote from Braveheart,
“Never leave behind a man woman or child that can ever carry a sword”
A tue soldier is a soldier for a reason, not because he enjoys killing and maming, but because he can do what is needed, without detriment to his psychie or being. That he can separate war and not let it’s tennants corrupt his soul and life.
The problem with civil rights movement and it’s effect on the military, is this is no longer the case, we can no longer discriminate, or really prepare these honorable individuals.
It is no longer the few and the proud if you can’t weed out the lesser candidates.
I believe the same holds true in many of our positions of power in this modern social climate.
Honor the weak and cowardly, dishonor the brave and true, the progressive mantra.

So…I mention this at a dinner party of university faculty my wife and I attended…and they thought I was crazy, evil, or both! I would LOVE killing my country’s enemies and all these PC police-type people were flipping out! I also said how I send Care Packages to soldiers and one flabby bitch with the ugliest earrings I’ve ever seen asked: “Why do you send things to a murderer?” I said, “Just to piss off bitches like you!” and at that point my wife grabs me and we head for the door.
She (Mrs. HH) was laughing so hard most of the way home!! “I love how you talk to those people like that!!” Then, the night ended quite well later on
Anyway, what’s wrong with these fucking people? Killing your enemies IS GOOD, the dumb fucks!!
Spoken like someone who has never served and certainly not one that has ever been in a firefight. Spoken like a 12yr old emo kid that thinks he would love killing the enemy because he’s like awesome at Modern Warfare 3 and stuff. Chick at the dinner party=liberal douche for sure but your false bravado and immaturity ring loudly from your post.
Especially the fact that you would choose to operate a drone or be in a submarine ensuring that you wouldn’t have to get near the enemy and actually experience the killing firsthand. You are a blowhard and a pussy.
Ditto – a blowhard and a pussy.
I served Special Forces (Seals) in Vietnam and at no time did anyone I served with ‘love to kill’. Our job in the military was to protect and serve the USA - and NOT through what could be considered ‘murderous action and intent’.

Man if you are really hoping to get this country back together you are going after the wrong people. Some soldiers miss their families, want to come back feel teh freedom they fought for and earned. And they deserve your respect, like I assume you would want for your son. You seem proud of him, so if he came back and was able to earn a good living for his family and watch them grow, we should respect that.
We have a bigger enemy in this country, one that does not want individual liberty, one that thinks they should rule all of us simpleton’s, so instead of attacking like minded individuals for nitpicky details, stand with them. There is a large majority of this country that still loves the “American Dream” to be your own person, to love your family and community.
So how about we find the common ground, we all know is there and finaly stand for something, not against someone else.
sorry for the rant’s just getting sick of seeing this.

Riiiggghtt…yeah you’re right when I separated (honorably) I totally should have become a poor unemployed vet and sucked off the system. When I separated it was a tough choice either stay in and do my 20 (like my father, his father and his father) or strike out and pursue something else. I did fuck off after separating (hence the screenname even though now pot isn’t a big part of my life). I just chose a different path but you are so weak minded that you think I left for money?
On top of being a blowhard and a pussy you are also an idiot.
Real men, real soldiers can kill if that is part of their duty but I can assure you having worked with some of the best in the JSOC command no one delights in it and if they do they are viewed as unfit for duty. The only type that spews the kind of nonsensical glee at killing the enemy is 14 yr old kids playing video games because they’ve never even come close to the real thing and clicking their little buttons and “waxing fools” is way easier then watching a real person’s head explode into little bits after you pulled the trigger.

What HH is voicing is not disdain for the misuse of our forces (which I agree with that sentiment) he is voicing the ramblings of prepubescent boys everywhere that are like 20th level SEALS on their XBOXs

If I were running a drone over Pakistan, I’d be more concerned about collateral. Don’t get me wrong, it is an unfortunate necessity, but there are other things I would think about rather than flying body parts.
I’m glad you and people like you aren’t in the military, because the people who actually serve their country don’t need to have their name tarnished by association with the likes of you.
Killing your enemies is “just” and “necessary;” it is not “good.” There is a difference.
I was officially in a non-combat position, but I found myself in combat several times. I have killed, up close and personal, exactly four people, all of whom were actively trying to kill me or others at the time.
The first time I literally shit my pants and threw up after. I am not ashamed of this, at all.
It was not pleasant. It was not “good.” I was not “happy.” I was justified and did what a soldier has to do.

Killed a man? Four men? If truth, is this something that has stayed with you, or have you managed to move on? Hope I’m never in a similar position.

I was trying to establish some reason in it but I don’t think it is there.
Hmmm…so suppose you vaccinate some kids, come back a month later and see where the VC have hacked off their arms, where they were vaccinated. Would anyone here actually claim that they wouldn’t enjoy blasting the scum that did that?
I call BS on anyone who wouldn’t enjoy that.
It would be a pure delight for me to kill those who sent people to fly planes into buildings. I would jump for joy if I got to blow up a training ground for terrorists, where said terrorists are trained to walk into an Israeli daycare center and set off a vest.
Anyone who doesn’t love and I mean passionately love killing shiteaters like that is not a true warrior. They are only playing at war games.
Interesting how few real warriors are in the world. Guess all the estrogen introduced intot he environment is working. Pathetic.
