Dylan10507, I agree on the competition, nothing keeps the ego in place like a sparring match with good rules, some heavy contact, and a good opponent.
These pics are not from a Sanda competition, but another kungfu style. I’m used to using 10oz boxing gloves, and we had to use some shitty TKD gloves,so I broke the guys nose with a jab… I much prefer the Sanda rules, they are the best allowed standup sparring rules in Norway at the moment.

absolutely. every society including our own assigns different roles to the two sexws, and from birth a baby will be sorrounded by expectations of certain behavior, so that those behaviors considered innate are therefore reinforced into them. I agree that it is all social conditioning. Not all girls end up the same. Some are “girly-girls”, others are tomboys, etc. People are going to be influenced by their environment to a certain extent. I’ve met girls that were more ballsy than some guys I’ve known.

I’m curious to know what cultures you know of where the behavior of men and women is exactly the same. Maybe it’s just because I’ve never seen this, but I find it rather hard to believe. If they do exist, perhaps it’s because THEY are being socialized to act in a certain way…

no. your answer only proves what I’ve written. While it’s true that men and women can be merely socialized to act the exact same way - this further proves the idea that both males and females are blank slates from which society draws its own patterns from. Put a single man and a single woman from birth in one remote island and will the same patterns emerge???
At least in Norway in the seventies, equality was a big thing, and two of my relatives got the “pink for boys, blue for girls, dolls for boys, toycars for girls” treatment. It did not work out very well. Perhaps it was a wrong approach, in a society where “everyone knows” their role, but I just thought to mention it.
We have every shade of grey of masculine to feminine in both sexes, I say we let people be what they want to be.
Our gym caters to people wanting results, so I feel lucky in that regard. Maybe if people here got more likeminded friends, they wouldn’t feel like such outsiders of society.

Im a student and on the fucking grind. all i can afford is eggs, cheap fish an beef. chicken and turkey are luxuries and a waste, the supermarkets here are catered towards pussies who eat carbs and fat,with barely any protein all day. the cheap stuff is all garbage. Some months i run out of money, can no longer get the quality meals in and have to live off the bulk whey that i bought when i had money, alongside whatever bullshit i can conjure up, or fast food (doubles/triples)
