Quick summary:
Was on self-prescribed T-Gel, first month or so was bloated with high BP, until my body adjusted and all was good.
3 Months later went on doc-prescribed T-shots at 150mg/week, injected twice per week.
At the 6th/7th week of the T Injections, my bloating picked way up and so did my BP.
This may sound funny but the only difference is I used to eat way more broccoli, and now I don’t. Is it possible that could affect my E levels to the point where it caused 10+ lbs of water gain and high BP?
I don’t have recent bloods, last one when I was on the T Gel, getting tested for injections, came in with E above 70 ng. I had no symptoms.
Your estrogen peaks, then on trough is lower. You need to inject smaller more frequent daily doses to avoid estrogen sides which is causing water retention. It could also be testosterone peaking, testosterone can increase water retention via the kidneys.
In either case the course of action is the same, inject smaller more frequent doses. You want to least amount of water retention, then daily dosing is the way to go. If you don’t want to be inconvenienced with daily dosing and you are alright with a little water retention, inject EOD.
The high blood pressure is from water retention putting pressure in the blood vessel walls, so when testosterone and estrogen peaks, this is when water retention is greatest. The daily dosing will keep these peaks smaller and water retention will be less and BP better controlled.
Anything is possible. The water retention sounds like high E2, and some people have a lot of trouble with crashing their E2 from seemingly insignificant things. Either way, it will probably go away after a while. Certainly avoid an AI if you are in fact that sensitive to broccoli’s effects.
I had the same question and I recently did some research. What i found out is that estrogen causes water retention and that raises the BP. My BP went up after my dose increased. I also take ECA and Clen. I know Clen raises BP, but not sure about ECA. On my next blood work, i’ll be off if clen.
In a normal physiology stimulants raise BP, so the “E” and the “C” in ECA would both do that, the aspirin is supposed to dilate everything to counteract it, but it only goes so far.
