Why Do Europeans Hate Us?

Hey, weren’t the Europeans the ones who had colonies all over the friggin world? Before the USA was even founded? And retained them till the last half of the last century?

What about the African slave trade? What about atrocities in the congo? South America? Mexico? Elsewhere?

If that is not travelling half way around the world to kill and enslave people, I don’t know what is. You guys did it long before us and did it better. In this, we can not begin to compete with Europe.

You have no room to talk.
For those euro-weenies who wanted an example of rank hypocrisy, I present orion/bota’s post as exhibit A.

He is only one dingle-berry, however, you’ll find plenty more like him.

JeffR

P.S. Good stuff, gkhan.

Funny, you and Lixy seem to agree on this point:

Slaughtering bordering countries, nationalities is ok. As long as you do not have to travel to do it, genocide is ok, in your opinions.

Following this logic, you must really hate the French, English, Spanish, Dutch and Portugese then. Right? Or do you only hate America?
You have accurately summed up their positions.

We do not hate you…!!! Author is right the first constitution was implemented in America and the second in the world and first in europe was in Poland…but when it gets to democracy things look a bit different. In Greece ( as it was mentioned) democracy has been in use even before the Christ so it is quite a while now…The problem with USA is that you dont have efficent knowledge about other countries it`s due to your media (and we all know who controls them)…Soviet influences in eastern Europe were mentioned as well and Poland, in particular was sold by Roosvelt and Churchil at Jalta conference to Stalin after we saved everyone elses butts  (we have been previously betrayed by UK and France as well but that was before the war started) anyway Poland is your most loyal ally (even if the war is wrong) and in my opinion you should open your eyes a bit more and maybe travel to europe some time unlike you we have a bit more history than 200 years
(no offens:D )

The Europeans hate themselves a lot more than they hate us. 70% of Americans are proud to be American. 50 something % of Brits are proud to be British. Less than 40% of French are proud to be French.

The Brits and the French look down on the Italians and Spanish because they’re not as rich and their governments aren’t as stable. It’s not as simple as the Europeans hating us. It’s all a complex, mutual circle of hate. It’s a beautiful thing and it will change but it will never go away.

Mostly BS.

thats what i thought, please state your sources for this.

My hatred for americans started when I first saw the Osmonds on television, even Alice Cooper couldn’t redeem you after that.

I was young and vulnerable, shame on you.

Like the French have not been expunging English words from their language for years before this?
The French Academy, maybe. The French, no way!

You have no idea what you’re talking about dear.

Last time I checked you could still buy FRENCH fries, FRENCH toast, ect, in America.

Changing those words was political BS which lasted about a month, if that. Please show me an actual advertisement from a national restaurant or chain which substitutes the word “FREEDOM” for French, because I don’t believe I ever saw any.

The Muslims, on the other hand changed the name of Danish Pastries to The Rose of Mohammad, which is pretty stupid IMO.

If you would get your nose out of your anti-US left wing, “independent”, US bashing propaganda rags, maybe you would know what you are talking about.

I do not hate Europeans either. Just idiots who blame America for all their problems and deny their own horrible history in the process.

Those bastards are making a comeback, ruining the image of America for countless more helpless. God help us all.

You must be confusing me with somebody else. I never made any such claim.

You know better than me what the American reaction was.

you try to justify actions by simply stating that other people have done similar things.

‘The French changed words’

‘The Muslims changed the name of food’

This does not help

Do not forget the topic of this thread is looking into why some Europeans may have negative opinions towards America or Americans

(I still strongly disagree with the title of the thread)

There is no need for you to be so aggressively defensive chill out my good man it is a discussion

I think the European countries have much better health system, much less criminal, much better pop music and much more inteligent presidents, oh did I mention the stability of their currency(Euro)?

Cheaper health care? Yes. Better? Not really.

Less criminals? Probably. The US is still a wild country in many ways.

Better pop music? You must be joking. David Hasselhoff is a god to you people.

Inteligent (sic) presidents? When you are going to insult based on smarts at least spell check first.

Stable currency? The Euro looks good for now. As soon as we sort through this sub prime lending mess the greenback will stable again.

I was about to give up on this thread, but better pop music just about caused me to have a seizure. I was going to start referencing Abba and the Scorpions, but Zap you answered this one the best way possible. Doc

I’ll ask again but use words you can more relate to: How’d the fries get to the restaurant? Oxcart?

When you think of the answer, you’ll know why America tries to keep control of the ME. Somehow, letting old people freeze and kids go hungry loses elections.

I’m fine with someone disagreeing with me. If I am wrong, then I’m grateful. All you’ve done is state how you hate Americans and spent your nights with Muslims. You then wonder why I react negatively to your ‘arguments’.

I have not stated how I hate Americans at all, I have tried to respectfully give you answers to your questions from my own view point, taking into account the opinions of people I know.

If you wish to be childish about it then carry on be a twat but I think you are revealing yourself to be a bigoted senseless idiot, you keep coming back with these petty replies, but are very reluctant to answer my questions, I will ask again and see what happens, what gives America the right to decide what Iraq does with its own natural resources?
I HAVE answered your questions. Reading…it does a body good.

Okay, one more time: The West depends on oil like a body depends on blood. Shutting off the oil (which Saddam intended to do and Iran wants to do) would be like putting a very strong rubber band around your balls. Not fun at all, I’d imagine.

Therefore, America has the right to decide what Iraq or any of those countries actually does with ‘their’ oil. Our survival depends on it.

If I have to choose between the well-being of the West and some whacked out ragheads hell bent to destroy us, guess who I choose. I refuse to take orders and follow Sharia Law, which Muslims like you and Lixy would like to impose on us all.

If I had my way, we’d have conquered Venezuela by now, opened up our continental shelf for oil (85% is closed by environmentalist whack jobs) and wouldn’t have to buy oil from any Muslims. In fact, I’d make doing that illegal, to starve the rats out.

What’s wrong with Abba? And the Scorpions aren’t particularly into pop music.

It’s obviously a matter of taste, but for what it’s worth, I personally favor British pop over American one.

You have not answered my question at all HH

All you have said is that “you need it so your gonna go get it”

That is not an answer, you need to tell me why you have the right to do that, your need (greed) is not a good enough reason to kill innocent people

All you have done is revealed a little more of yourself as the insular bigoted racist that you so obviously are, if you really are a teacher and a person of power and influence over young minds than that is desperatly sad.

Your attitude that you can go and take the resources you need from anyone you please is another reason why America is losing support abroad.
