Notice how the two gents from ‘across the pond’ didn’t respond to my examples how lame their beloved ‘sport’ is.
If I were evil, I might think this HH fellow set that up on purpose — just to see if they’d respond. If I were evil…

What were the examples you gave you silly old man? An own goal constitutes a lame sport? Or is it a gay sport? Or is a sport just played by scum from across the pond? Really is no talking to you. I’m done.
Old people and technology shouldn’t mix. People like you are the reason I don’t let my grandad have the TV remote control, let alone internet access.

After reading this thread, I now understand why the United States of America is the greatest country in the world. The difference is that we actually WANT to live. The rest of the world just wants to avoid death and eek out some miserable existence. We, however, embrace life. They want to kick a little ball around. We want a CHALLENGE, to face one another in a contest of power, speed, and intelligence.
Thank God I live in my country, the most noble and moral country in the history of the planet!!

Yeah, you need to reread text books, your last paragraph is totally off.
Maybe I can start claiming the same thing about South Africa, I mean, the bad things our government did were pretty much the same the American one did, we just had the misfortune to do it for while longer after you guys stopped.

This has to be a joke…
I played football in high school. It’s an awesome sport, I had a ton of fun and have some great memories. But I can say the same for the basketball and volleyball teams I played on as well. Nor can I say most of the guys I played with were particularly intelligent, moral, or generally better than the other kids. Actually, a lot of them were toolbags who are probably not going to accomplish anything with life.
Does anybody find it funny that in his first post on this thread, this guy quoted a cartoon character?
To say that America is the most moral country is idiotic. Morality is relative. American leaders just impose their morals on other countries a lot more.

i just watched the two “hits” videos. the rugby hits looked similar to the footbal hits to me, except for two things:
footballers lead with their heads/helmets
the rugby guys are 160-200lb white boys who run 5.0 40’s and footbal are 230-250lb black dudes who run 4.4 40’s.
truth hurts.
i agree with another poster who said footballers would gas-out and need CPR on the rugby field, and a rugby guy would get seriously hurt on the football field.
