I’m not being hysterical. I look at it like this:
Vixens will read this, get pissed that guys would criticize them, and a few of them will probably stop posting. T-vixen thread will die down and then there will a collective “sigh” of sadness. Eventually, a new T-vixen will revive, we give her attention, she teases us with pics, rinse and repeat.
As for the social groups, it will be Pushharder Supporters, Holy Mac Supporters, 2009 Troll supporters, T-vixen supporters, and T-vixen critics. It won’t be anything major, but you can tell that when AlisaV posts, certain members follow. When Push posts, certain members follow.

I don’t think it’s because he took a “pot shot” at a woman (reread his post, it was a shot), but because he took a shot at someone who was being unfairly ‘picked on’. Doesn’t matter if it’s a woman or a man that’s being unfairly ‘picked on’, it ain’t right to pile on that person, and it left a bad taste.
There are times when HM’s critique would be appropriate, and I have no problem with a blunt and even unkind critique, but I don’t think this was the time for it. It came off as mean-spirited not helpful, and I don’t think the target merited that. I think the target deserves better, and that is true regardless of their sex.
Some may say that people here should have tough skins, and I agree. That doesn’t mean that it’s ok to pile on someone who hasn’t done anything to merit it. Being a tough guy (in the best sense of the word) means knowing when it’s ok to take a shot at someone, and when it’s better to hold off until a better time presents itself.
Short version – it’s more the timing of the critique than its substance.
