You guys need to give him a chance, obviously his style of comedy is different to American comedy but watch some of his stand up before making your mind up about him, his act is so much better than when he is presenting something. But dont take him too seriously because he is a comedian at the end of the day. His book is pretty good as well.
My one overriding impression of his performance at the VMA’s was; “does this guy think he’s fucking Jack Sparrow??”

Totally agreed! I only discovered Craig Ferguson recently and after seeing the other late night hosts we have here (Leno and Letterman) and being used to them, who are only kind of “witty-funny” as opposed to “make you involuntarily belly laugh out loud funny” I stumbled upon Ferguson and was laughing my ass off at 1:00 am one time. He’s great!
