I’ve started doing a lot more thinking recently about joining the police (it’s a bit of a family thing…no pressure at all though), so I got to wondering how many people on here are actually in law enforcement…if you want to out yourself… : )
Bob please, please, for the love of god when/if you finally make it, just bust actual “criminals.” The kid down at the local bank stateboarding in not a “criminal” despite what the old lady who called in on him says. The guy with tint on his side windows does NOT deserve to be pulled over, as he is not a “criminal.” The person who comes to a VERY slow rolling stop, but doen’t actually “stop” when it is painfully odvious that no cross traffic exists is not a “criminal.” I seriously wanted to be a cop when I was a kid, but after being fined hundreds & hundreds of dollars for the above “offenses” over the years I lost alot of respect for our police force. This is NOT a personal attack, as I don’t know you, and I don’t know how you plan on protecting and serving, and yes, I’m sure that there are plenty of good, genuine cops out there, I just havn’t met them. And for any cops out there, before it happens, flamming me isn’t going to help me see you point of veiw.
lol I’ve been looking at that kind of annoying shit the past two weeks while I’m visiting with my cousin - cop in a small town. So many old folks call in complaining about fireworks it’s insane…those badass 12 yr olds… My cousin refers to himself as the highest priced babysitter in the world, since what he’s stuck doing most of the time is cleaning up the drunks from the streets. They do have a bylaw officer, which saves them some dumb calls, but it’s still a drain. Half the time parents look to them to set their kids straight, as if 20 min of talking is going to make up for years of bad parenting. Don’t worry Soldierslim, I’m much more interested in chasing the bad guys than the rolling stoppers…though maybe a little flashing lights with a warning now and then…lol : )
