This is not exactly true. Growth stimulating hormones are not injected, per say. They are placed underneath the skin in the middle 1/3 of the ear.
There are no feeds “laced with hormones”. They may eat genetically engineered grains, and have anti-biotic/pro-biotic additives thrown in - but none of these are growth hormones.
This is absolutely correct. And even then - unless the producer breeds and raises his own stock, there is no guarantee that what he buys at the sale barn is the “natural beef” he is over charging the public for.
Also, you’ll notice that the people who shop at Whole Foods are some of the worst people you’ll encouter anywhere. You’ll have to experience that at least once in your life. It really is shocking.[/quote]
What, the fact that they’re educated but yet not mainstream? Same could be said for every member of T-Nation…and often is.
in nyc they are pretty competitive, (everyone is expensive:o( only prepared food i buy there is the sesame crusted tuna, $21 lb. -ouch-but it is yummo.

Steve Young (ex-49ers quarterback) actually shops at my Whole Foods. Other than that, of course, most people are the range of middle-class folks (some are nice, some are ass-holes). Not many poor or working class people can shop there because of the prohibitive prices.
As TC mentions its nice to have a “kitchen sink” type salad at least once a day and Whole Foods salad bar is great for this sort of thing. Probably wouldn’t break the bank either. On an unrelated note, did Steve Young ever get married? Anyone ever hear rumours about which team he bats for?
