Thanks. Ugh I can’t move today. I think I should’ve taken things a little handier. It didn’t help that I had to go cycle up some bloody hills right after, because I forgot my laptop, didn’t eat properly and didn’t get home till late. We’re going away tomorrow too, not back until Wednesday.

Yep a mini-vacation, too mini for me.

The soreness after Friday’s session was actually the pleasant sort of soreness. I’m still having issues, we walked a bit, though not that much, but my joints were feeling it. Wednesday after we got back I couldn’t really move. So things have been up and down the last week.

Yes and it was the nice and relaxing type, the class is predominantly, or should I say everyone but me, were retired ladies.

30 mins rollerblading.
I put in inserts, ankle & knee stability was much better but it comes at a price with having an additional layer from my feet and the wheels/ground. I had to really concentrate on keeping forward. I wasn’t winded but it was just very tiring.

Going to take a night course for 10 weeks, while I try to figure out my next job move.

20 mins swimming, but my ribs were kind of hurty from yesterday’s lifting, even though I didn’t do much.

Oh yeah and kind of upset, the gym is a tease! They have a nice long astroturf area near the outdoor pool, that would be just perfect for a prowler, but no prowler :frowning:

30 mins rollerblading. Inserts helping keep right knee straight, that is until I get tired, nearly fell coming back with all the tree-crap on the paths/sidewalks.

Felt pretty crappy yesterday but got out anyway and then listened to my body. Only 15 mins of rollerblading before my joints told me ‘not today’. And had crappy sleep because my ribs were hurting me, one rib, in particular, felt like it was poking me in the solar plex.

Surprisingly I felt great with today’s warm up, that I decided to add some weight to the bar. But must remember baby steps!

Did some work, then did that 1 hour back care yoga class, which is really more of a hip opening class, but I’m not complaining, my hips are as tight as anything.

Still you got some work in. You should try some horse liniment on the joints :slight_smile:

Uh yes more set backs. Got a new generic of lyrica, only it wasn’t a generic of pregabalin, it is gabapentin. They are supposed to work the same, in some ways but not in all. Anyway I’ve been feeling crap and hurty, as some people (I guess that’s me) can’t just go cold turkey off of pregabalin, would’ve been nice to explain that to me, but upping the dose, seems to be working from Sat.

I did manage to go to yoga twice last week. I’ve been working on my foot/ankle, but think I did too much for it, as I can’t put any weight on the single foot now, it’s fine if I have both feet planted, so no rollerblading for awhile and back to trying to get to where I was with deadlifts.

Retorative yoga early this morning, instructor was a different one, you can tell how each instructor’s energy affects the class. But at least I wasn’t sleepy for the deadlifts after that.

I’m able to go proper wide on the Dl’s we’ll see how long before the adductors start to complain. Guess I can start working on some work capacity as my strength returns.

The nice calming yoga instructor is back, she really makes you feel safe & relaxed, like you’re 5 getting tucked in by your mother. Great for people with anxiety.

I felt a little shakey on the Dl’s today, could not activate my left side, and my right hand was always shaking right after I lift. And my grip is fine for the weight, didn’t feel like I was struggling.

Anyway stopped a little sooner than normal, and for the last 2 sets I brought my stance in a bit.

I want to feel like I’m 5 being tucked in by my mom. I like a narrower dl stance. I guess it’s called a squat stance. Always a good idea to cut a workout short if you think something isn’t feeling right.

What do you mean by “proper wide” on the sumos? I’ve seen narrow (modified sumo) and to the plates. Whatever works! You’re pulling good weight there!
