That’s you in the pic, right??? :D
Would be nice to have the strength of 10 men. Actually I know I’ve been getting stronger, but I actually don’t FEEL stronger if that makes sense. Even in day to day life
Work set (3 paused eccentrics)
3 x 5 - 67.5kg
…Superset KB press - 10 kgs (3 paused eccentrics)
Wide FS (3 paused eccentrics)
3 x 5 - 30kg (hmm ribs not sure about the 30kg??)
…Superset 1 arm TRX row (3 paused eccentrics)
–30 sec rest
Had way too much to eat/drink yesterday, trying to cheer up a friend. But the workout was nice and energetic and I don’t feel tired. Why can’t I feel energetic on low calories, pfft.
Things felt hard today except left wrist on the kb presses felt strong, not sure why things felt heavy as I think I’m gaining back some weight, need to adjust again.
Clean grip lunges
3x10 - 25kg
Superset…KB press 3x8 - 6kgs (bell up to work shoulder stability)
Prowler pushes…3 rounds
lower level - 35 kg plates
chest level - 45 kg plates
– 1 min rest
12 mins… intervals on the treadmill
Couldn’t even muster up some energy to do proper stretching, bleh. Is it bath and bed time yet?
Had to take a lunchtime nap on Friday, just couldn’t get to the gym, tried to go for a walk even. But got 2 cycles in the park on Sat and Sun, nice to be out in nature again.
Some long warms, the left glute on the single leg bridges did not feel responsive enough and right shoulder twingy.
Had to take a few extra seconds rest to get the last rep in. Think I might go back to regular tempo or even just slow eccentric front squats, as my adductors liked them. The left one is not very happy with me.
I’m feeling pretty beat up of late. Going to have to change something, I’m eating more, getting my 8 hours of sleep, ok this year has been rather stressful but trying to manage that. I don’t think this Lycria really helps the energy either, slowing down my CNS and all that.
Went swimming yesterday, felt good to do that again. Left leg is giving me the big FU, so just played around with different deadlifts at 55kg. Actually I’ve never held a man’s bar in snatch grip, and not sure if the webbing between my thumbs liked it, ouch.
KB press - 10 kgs (3 paused concentrics )
1 arm TRX row (3 paused concentrics )
A couple of inverted rows
Rolled my adductors. Going to take a break the next couple of weeks and just do some complexes …this looks rather interesting 3 Complexes for Rapid Female Fat Loss,
and maybe a couple of swims and some yoga. Going for a quick massage.

Do you have fibromyalgia? Did I miss that?
More or less according to my last Rheumatologist. Lycria is helping though, sucks about the weight gain and the other side effects, but beggars/choosers and all that. This year has been much better with the pain management.
Ok that complex took longer than I thought. Started with 30kg which was fine until I got to the 2nd round of push presses after cleans, anyway dropped down to 25kg on the 3rd round. Also had to do back squats and TRX inverted row separately, BB rows still seem to bother the ribs. I forgot that cleans also use your traps, could barely lift my arms afterwards, who knows what I’ll be like tomorrow morning.

Just lurking you. Sorry to hear about the ongoing health issues, but I’m impressed that you’re working around it. Best of luck!

Thanks!
Nothing to report here, just here to complain about my serious DOMS in arms, tried to go for a swim yesterday. Anyway it’s been a long time since I’ve had serious DOMS, why didn’t I just use an empty bar. Supposed to do DL’s today, not sure how I’m going to hold on to the bar, or even load the bar.
Ha that wasn’t too bad, got my arms to at least do my bidding. And got up to 3 digits, just wanted to get in a heavy DL since I’m TRYING to lose some stupid fat and just going to do it twice these next 2 weeks.
Down an entire inch from my hips, and maybe 1.5 from waist? That only took forever to happen.
I think my legs are bigger though, can’t tell I’m pretty crap at measuring them. But my belly area seems to vary by 3-5 inches, I think my digestion is all wonky, hasn’t been right for over a year now.
Anyhoo medium DL’s today, unfortunately I forgot my gym shoes, wearing cushy running shoes…
Sumo’s
9 - 50kg
8 - 50kg
2x8 - 60kg
2x6 - 70kg
Snatch grip and stiff dl’s
2x5 - 50kg
3 rounds of 8kg DB’s (they were the big ones so forearms got a workout too)
1.Reverse Lunge, 6 reps per leg
2.Romanian Deadlift, 12 reps
3.Good Morning, 12 reps
4.Front Squat, 6 reps
5.Military Press/Push Press, 6 reps (3rd round used 5kgs)
6.Bent-Over Row, 6 reps (3rd round used 5kgs)
7.Close Grip Floor Press, 12 reps (3rd round used 5kgs)
Just a nice 1 hr cycle in park yesterday and (2) 45 minute walks today.
Hmm not sure if I should just suck it up and use 30kg for the complex tomorrow, I want to work up to heavy DL’s again on Wed though. But DOMS are finally gone from upper body, the legs still have some but I can deal with that. Think adductors are sore because I tried one set of DLs in slippery socks. Nothing like that awful lighting in the changing rooms to show you that, no, sorry, your ass still needs a hell of serious painful work. And starting a course tomorrow so will need some energy for the next couple of months for that.
Yay almost bath and bed time, my favourite times of day.
“not sure if I should just suck it up and use 30kg”… what a joke that was
Well that was one of those sucky workouts. I had no strength for anything. Wound up just doing a couple of sets of push presses, front squats, RDL’s before having to call it quits. TRX row was pretty pathetic too.

Always for me. It’s either glued down, or I can do a full rep. No in between.
