I srsly just want to get the fk out of my parents house , and get out of this stupid small town, the place is like death. I just want to get some kind of job that pays enough money for me to live in a bad apartment somewhere and pay for basic stuff.
When i move , all im taking with me is clothing , a laptop and some of the exercise gadgets i have bought .
Two things i know i lack are:
1.visualization…and
2.seeing into the future.
You probably also lack the ability to make dogs do back flips. How any of these three things has to do with finding rewarding work is beyond me. Think and grow rich is a weird book, most unhelpful (as in not being straight forward) self-help book I have read.
- Figure out something (at a high level) to do that will allow you to have the life you want.
- Find the top person in that field.
2.5 Figure out how that person got to that point.
- Copy down those steps.
3.5 realise you now have a step by step process to get to where you want.
You actually read it all??? I couldn’t get past the first 20 pages.
But I second what you suggested.
OP, if that is ALL you demand out of life, then you’re gonna wind up with a shitty existence with the bare minimum.
My own personal experience is when I started my engineering degree there was a Technical Center in my city that has a lot of prestige as a place where only the best engineers in the city work, so naturally I saw that building when I entered college and said to myself: That’s where I want to work… I busted my ass working shitty jobs as a bouncer, waiter, water analyst, messenger, etc… Guess what? I AM THERE NOW, I may not be making the kind of money I want, but I’m where I wanted to be three years ago, and I have no intention of going anywhere than up the corporate latter. I simply want more and I’m a firm believer that to get all that you gotta work harder that every mofo you work with.
So get over yourself, find what you want to make with your life, and get the fuck out there and get it… And enjoy the journey in doing so.
