I usually don’t get too impressed by actresses (besides their looks), but I think my favorite actress is Kristin Bell. I actually watched every episode of Veronica Mars, and I can say the show would have sucked if it wasn’t for her.
This is a tough one, I probably can’t pick just one. But I would say, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Ed Norton, Russell Crowe, George Clooney, Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, Daniel Day Lewis, Leonardo Di Caprio, Ving Rhames

She is very wee. I met her at a charity dog walk a few years ago in San Diego. Very very wee. She did great in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
As for Philip Seymour Hoffman, that damn dude is nothing if he isn’t versatile. Every single thing he’s in, he becomes the character.
From the Punk Ass in Patch Adams, to the child celebrity in Along Came Polly, hell, he was awesome in Capote too.
It’s a treat to watch the guy work.
I remember his role in Cold Mountain now too, being constipated and finally taking a big shit and then screaming “The Isrealites!!!”
Damn, don’t want to come off as a Hoffman fanboy, but he’s really good.
Past: Arnold, DeNiro, Pacino
Current: Christian Bale, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson
No particular order:
John Travolta
Matt Damon (Talented Mr. Ripley…)
Dakota Fanning (she gets better with age)
Christan Bale (Ameriacn psycho - loved it)
Robert Downey Jr. (When I saw him in Chaplin I was sold.)
There are others however if these people are in a movie, I’ll check it out. P.S. Hoffman great actor as well.
John Malkovich
Brad Pitt
I like action movies and not so much a chick flick kind of guy however my daughter likes the kids movies and chick flicks so…
I think Zach Effron may get better, at least he can act. Hair Spray was fun I went with my daughter because no one else wanted to go with her and a good father will do these things.
There are probably others though…

Good list. Don’t see Hoffman in too many roles, but he does a good job. I liked him in Charlie Wilson’s War
“Go fuck yourself, you fucking child”
Definitely check out Hoffman’s work. Soooo many titles to choose from but he does great in all of them. Easily the best supporting actor of all time.
Also, his portrayal of Truman Capote was incredible.
C’mon guys really? No-one else on Denzel? Maybe you should reconsider your lives.
Malcolm X
Man on Fire
American Gangster
Remember the Titans
Training Day
The Hurricane
He Got Game
Glory
For Queen and Country
John Q
What?!? Seriously?
BRENDAN FRASER
Man, it’s tough to choose just three.
Alec Baldwin- how come he hasn’t been listed yet? The guy is a legend.
Jack Nicholson- I shouldn’t really need to exlain this one.
Tom Cruise- not a huge fan of the Mission Impossible movies, but he was good in Risky Business and Rain Man. A Few Good Men was awesome and Magnolia totally blew my mind.
Actresses, let’s see:
Meryle Streep, Jodie Foster are two that come to mind right now.
What’s with you guys and christian bale? Hes not that good.

Glory
What?!? Seriously?
Glory was horrid and his performance was insignificant, I don’t know why anyone gave a crap.

Are you saying this forum overrates him or he’s not a good actor? One option is more agreeable than the other.

Brad Pitt is one of my favorites, although when I think about it, most of his roles are fairly ‘normal’ ones which I guess arent’ very dramatic. Still, most of his movies are pretty damn good.

In no particular order:
- Harvey Keitel
- Billy Bob Thornton

Ben himself said he’s not trying to be a good actor. He just wants to be funny. Google it. Ben Stiller quotes.
