There are some great responses here. I enjoyed reading this.

There are a couple of bashers on both sites of the fence here that are quite humorous.

Right now, I’d vote for GWB.

I don’t know Kerry very well except for the fact that he’s a liberal democrat. I don’t like Ted Kennedy and one of my problems with Kerry is those two are thick as thieves. TK is so far left he can’t even see, hear or smell the middle or right anymore.

I’m more afraid of the social implications of a Kerry presidency than anything else.

My opinion is he would introduce a more secular society even though he’s a devout catholic. Secularism has its place, but I’m sick of it being jammed down our throats. The ACLU and their boys are using the court system to get what they want now. I believe if Kerry wins the election, he will appoint more secular activists judges to the bench and that my friends will change our country. That’s what I’m afraid of.

Unless I’m reassured otherwise, add one more for GWB.

Begins Rant-

Any guy that thinks that it’s ok to mmend the constitution over something as stupid as gay marriage is a jackass. With all of the other crap going on in the world, why must he waste the taxpayers money on that BS?

Until someone proves that it will hurt someone else, or will be fiscally damaging to the country, then why are we wasting time on it?

It’s not like some guy is going to hear about the new option for marriage and suddenly decide that his buddy Steve from the office softball team is a more appealing prospect for marriage the hot chick from accounting.

Besides that, Kerry actually fought in a war, he didn’t get to go camping with the brownies like George W. I think he’s more of a man and more able to make decisions about war since he actually experienced it FIRSTHAND.

As it stands now, we’re fighting a war on 3 fronts (Afganistan, Iraq, and Here) and we’re heading for war in North Korea and Iran too.

I don’t know how many of you ever played the game Risk, but spreading yourself that thin is definitely not a good strategy. Especially if it pisses off your allies.

The whole country is mismanaged, and not that I believe John Kerry to be the end all be all candidate, I just think that he’s better than Bush.

Christ, the guy didn’t even read his father’s book! George senior said that HE didn’t go into Iraq after Saddam because there was just no good exit strategy.

Kids should really listen to their parents.

I think the whole country f’d up when we let John McCain get away. He’s really the one that ought to be sitting in the oval office.

Bush…and here’s a few reasons why…

Facts There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January… in the fair city of Detroit (Michigan) there were 35 murders in the month of January. That’s one American city folks, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq!

Worst president in history?

The following appeared in the Durham, NC local paper as a letter to the editor.

Liberals claim President Bush shouldn’t have started this war. They complain about his prosecution of it. One liberal recently claimed Bush was the worst president in U.S. history. Let’s clear up one point: We didn’t start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by terrorists BEFORE 9/11.

Let’s look at the “worst” president and mismanagement claims.

FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did.

From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost, an average of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. I think history might show Eisenhower committed the troops and Kennedy was honoring that commitment.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden’s head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300 a year. Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.

Worst president in history? Come on!

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but…

It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51 day operation.

We’ve been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Teddy Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!

Our military is GREAT! PASS IT ON.
