One day while I was at my uncle’s house while everyone else was out, my knee started pussing bad. I had no tissues so I used my hands and kind of scooped it up and licked it.
I once pulled a nose hair out sans tranquilizer or pain medication. It was scary and painful, but I strive to be brave. I do hope this is a qualifier for true man status.
I once had 3 warts on my hands that I kept cutting off and kept growing back. Someone told me the only way they would stay off is if I burnt them after I cut them. So I dug them out with a pair of cuticle cutters, heated up a wire hanger with a lighter and put those bad boys to sleep.

That’s hardcore.[/quote]
Because of the burn, they would leak randomly for a couple weeks after that. It was like my body thought there was a blister there, but there really wasn’t.

I trim mine, with no anesthetic. Afterwards, I scream but I disguise it as a sneeze.
I thought i was all tough deciding not to get morphine when i was in the hospitcal because of a chronic fear of needles. Doctor came out ten minuits later and " readjusted " the bones in it. Wasnt much fun and i could feel the bones n shit grinding. Needless to say i was definatly up for the morphine after that. Trust me taking a painkiller is much better then looking tough.
Ok, ok, I understand. The suspense is killing you…
Yes I took the needle. I brought up my concern to the Podiatrist that the shot hurts like hell or the procedure hurts like hell so why not just get the procedure. She explained that the shot is uncomfortable but the operation would be absolute torture without the injections.
She went on that the she could do a better job if I was numbed up because she wouldn’t be trying to rush or have to worry about me jerking around. The shots, 4 around the base of my toe really didn’t hurt that much, anyway.
Funny thing is I’m wondering if I had some kind of adverse reaction to the Lidocaine. The toe feels just fine. It hardly hurts. But, the arch of my foot feels like someone punched it. On saturday I could barely walk. It feels like the most intense case of Plantar Fasciitis you could possibly have. Kind of weird.
Was doin some yard work at my Dad’s house a couple years back and jumped off a platform where a pitchfork was hidden below. It went straight through my shoe as well as the meat where the arch on my right foot is. Other minor ones: nose broken 3 times, sternum fractured, broken ribs, jaw dislocated, right arm broken and my left thumb broken.
Most painful was the sternum and ribs though. Honorable mention when I was a teenager I was swimming in a river and walking up the bank stepped on a shell, cut into my foot, walked the 1 mile home barefooted. 2 weeks went by and my sister noticed a red line climbing up my leg, I picked up my foot and the base of it was purple.
The doctor took a scalpal, put a deep incision into the original cut to drain the infection, injected antibiotics and prescribed orals. Said if I waited another few days my foot could have been lost. lol. Those are the bulk of my cool injuries I’ve sustained non lifting related.
Every two months I have to clip my toe nail and rip it off with a tweecer. Or else I will get a ingrown toe nail. After three visits to the doctor it didn’t help, so still doing it myself.
Also had my right wrist bruised, it was pretty painfull for half a year. Taped it in and was still training… after a year I went to a physiotherapist because of rigid flexion. Now I still haven’t a complete range of motion in my wrist.
I had the same procedure done about six months ago. I let the thing get so infected that my pediatrist was considering aputating. Luckily I did it soon enough that there were no problems other than not having a toenail at all anymore. She put acid on the toe so that the nail won’t grow back anymore. It took 6 shots…4 on the base and 2 on each side, under the actual nail.

Shit. No wonder you look so angry. Evil Knevil would respect all that.

Try packing cotton under it. That’s what I had been doing for the last twenty years. Pull a portion that seems about right off a cotton ball. Roll it between your fingers to make a little tapered cylinder, then pack it under the nail. Pack it on the side that hurts so most is under the nail but a little is peeking out on the edge. Worked for me until I just got fed up with it.
It might help to keep your nail kind of long. You can see how long I’d been keeping mine in the pictures. I wore through a lot of socks.
