The right to the pursuit of happiness.
When I use words, they are meant to convey exactly what I mean. I don’t speak in code, nor have any need to. I don’t have any reason to “launch attacks,” feeling that earnest disagreement is sufficient to express my earnest disagreement. When I speak of social justice during revolutionary times, I mean the social justice of those times, as it would be silly to suggest they were for gun controls (but the shootings!) and I am not silly.
Opportunism played out then in indentured servitude, and it plays out now in the foreign workers imported to work seasonally at Mar-a-Lago. Social justice then = freedom of religion, freedom of press. Social justice now = eliminating discrimination.
Speak in sound bites if you like, but don’t assume everyone is/does.
@Aragorn great post, thank you!
As usual, when presented with questions to answer, here is how you respond:
- a post of personal insults
- a following post on a different topic.
You really are a fucking moron, to put it politely.
Trojan Horse.
Fair points, thank you for clarifying.
Good post, Emily.
Oh boy. This thread took a turn. Now the debate (with the European) is about why America was founded and what it means to people?
Did you ever say where you were from @TheCB? Guessing Europe somewhere. Germany?
As someone whose ancestors were here during colonial times, I feel it is up to us, their descendents, to be the true caretakers of our republic. We must shoulder the burden of keeping the spirit of our Founders’ vision alive. These ideas of white nationalism, which were imported from foreign countries that do not share our view of freedom (I’m looking at you Russia, Nazi Germany, etc.), need to be confronted by us and crushed, in order to protect our inheritance.
Oh my… What have you done?
- Haiti has been independent for over 200 years. Why is it still an abject failure?
- Hiroshima was hit by a nuclear bomb well under 100 years ago. It is now a high productivity, low crime metropolis. How is that possible?
- 5% of the US population commit over 50% of the murders in the country. Why is that?
- Why is almost every black society on Earth crime ridden, violent and poor?
- Why are the Chinese so overtly racist to African immigrants? White supremacy, again?
Look forward to your answers.
Why would you want my answers when clearly you are better educated and smarter than I. Plus, since you aren’t American you received a superior education than us slobs. I’ll defer to you and wait for your answers to those questions because I am obviously out of my depth.
I want your answers because:
- I want to see if you/others can broaden my world view/correct some/all of it.
- I want to see if you, personally, are able to put forward informed and cogent arguments without having to use cliches or without copying, word for word, a playbook of standard responses.
- I do not feel you are capable of answering these questions in anything other than a convoluted way full of cliches ripped verbatim from the cultural Marxist playbook of racism/slavery/poverty/white supremacy/imperialism/colonialism.
As a result, I feel your inability to do this justifies much of what I have stated in this thread.
The polite thing to do, would be that you answered those questions first.
Lol, out of every 25 or so of your posts, you say something that genuinely makes me laugh.
I didn’t deny that. In fact I alluded to it re: “political agenda”.
I also don’t care what 100 random people think about the term’s origins–you called her post “poor” and said that the term was a Marxist term. It wasn’t. It predated Marx and was used widely in non-Marxist thought and political philosophy up until the last few years. In all material terms it isn’t Marxist and has been “appropriated” in more recent years. Even now it is used in many non-Marxist writings, regardless of what social media would believe. You were wrong and there are multiple references.
She clarified her post and I accepted her position.
Cheers.
Your unwillingness to answer your own questions is troubling. Maybe we are having an issue because you aren’t American and I am. Hopefully we can overcome these cultural differences.
Lol, you are on a roll. Laughed at that one too.
The troll cries out in pain as he strikes you.
Is that considered humor, or humour, where you’re from. I don’t want to offend you by laughing or not laughing. It’s intriguing that you have changed your posting style once you were asked to answer your own questions.
I haven’t changed a single element of my posting style.
It is intriguing that when asked questions directly relevant to the thread, you totally ignore them.
As I said, the troll cries out in pain as he strikes you.
That’s all well and good and I can’t disagree but would you answer those questions in the name of civility and proper manners? Just because I’m an ass doesn’t mean you should avoid being the bigger person.
