My wife had a Nightster 1200 and it felt very small to me. Of course during that time I was weighing 250+
I would make sure that the 48 has forward controls, my wife’s were mid controls and just didnt feel comfortable to me.
Triumph makes a nice bike. I figured they’d be cheaper over there as they aren’t imported?
Riding a cruiser at freeway speeds without a windscreen is exhausting. You sit so upright that your chest becomes one big parachute. Best bet is to get a quick detach screen that you can just pop on if you’re going on a long haul.

The switchback windscreen and boxes are detachable.

Without the windscreen, you have to hold on more tighly to keep from getting blown back off the bike. Not a big deal in town or for an hour, but more than that, it’s a beating.

Victory makes a nice bike if they have them in the UK.
IMHO, it’s a bit nicer than a off-the-rack Harley and the price is often a bit less or the same.
I had a Victory Hammer 8 ball until I collided with an elk going around a corner at about 40mph. (I was bruised but unhurt, elk walk a few steps and died.)
