Which Motorcycle Would You Go For?

Everyone’s got a black bike. Newsflash: black doesn’t make you hardcore. Get the 48 in a gentleman’s color: white.

True but some people like black

Yeah, white would look pretty classy actually if that’s your thing.

Some drag bars would look good too, IMO.

48 without the glitter

how much does it cost?

superglide custom. But personally I like the softail look better. I’ve got a Deuce right now but I’m thinking about a CVO Breakout in the near future.

I don’t love any of them but the Switchback will be the most convenient. My first bike came with a shield and bags and it lets you ride it so much more often. Plus the matched paint hard bags look better than some aftermarket bags slung over something else. For H-D, I’d go V-Rod or Fat Boy if it were my money, but I just bought a Yamaha so take my advice with a grain of salt.

LOL I was looking at these the other day. The 48 is nice but it doesn’t hold much gas in it’s cool looking tank.

Don’t like the switchback. You can’t go wrong with any of the other two.

All my family are bikers but they always had sports bikes or triumphs, they have been on my case for getting my first bike on CBT (125cc) cruiser and now I want a big one I think my dad and his bandit will never call me son again

I am getting the usual ribbing of cruiser are for posers, we will leave you a hundred yards down the motorway, good luck in scotland on the roadtrips turning on that two wheel bus. And it goes on and on.

I just always liked Harleys since a Hells angel let me sit on his back at the bulldog bash when I was a wee nipper.

About the windscreen, if you have a visor on your helmet why bother with a windscreen?

On a cruiser?

You are kidding, right?

Ride a naked bike a long trip and you’ll soon figure out the benefits of a windscreen…lol. They aren’t necessary but they give you that bit of extra wind protection that is nice if it’s raining or you’re hauling ass on the motorway.

I love the look of the 48 but it might be kinda small for you. Plus they are being bought up by hipsters here in the states.

I would sit on all of them (and the ones you haven’t listed here) and see which one is the most comfortable to you and which one you find yourself most drawn to regardless of any other factors. Honestly those are the most important criteria. You do anything on a bike that you feel comfortable on and if you find yourself always looking at the bike then you’ll always want to ride it.

No, I mean I have a cruiser, albeit with a tiny engine and its no different than when I go on my mates road bike. Then again in the UK I am wrapped up in layers anyway.

Great advice, cheers bud.

Save the cruiser for your midlife crisis. Get a motard.

KTM 690 Duke

Aprilia Dorsoduro

Boring, I was thinking of maybe getting a GSX but meh, no passion just speed. Over here I think the Hayabusa is more of a mid life crisis bike

You can actually get a 48 and put a bigger gas Tank on it.

How big are you?

About five foot ten

I love the Triumphs too, probably even more than the Harley, but they seem more expensive due to the resurgence in them

same price as the 48
