He’ll land somewhere, but he was a shitty NFL QB before getting locked up for 2 years, what makes anyone think he’ll be worth anything at that position now?
I guess Minn would make the most sense, if they run a veer with Peterson and Taylor, but that’ll only work for a few weeks, like the “wildcat” offense last year.
Sounds like you’ve watched the media and not his games. He was no Joe Montana but he wasn’t a shitty QB. I watched every game he played in Atlanta, his problem was lack of time in the pocket and drops.
He was good at running that draw/option play, but that’s about it. He has great legs and a cannon for an arm, but shitty touch/accuracy and zero pocket presence
Don’t you have to have a pocket before you can have presence?
too many times he would look to escape instead of stepping up into the pocket. 3-4 seconds is about all you’re going to get in the NFL. anything over that is great protection, which ATL never had, due to their concentration on the running game
Does anyone know what is remaining on Vick’s contract?
3-4 seconds would have been a luxury, too many times I’ve seen him not get into a 5 step drop before someone was in his face.
So you know, I’m not a crazy Vick fan, I’m more than happy for him to be gone and replaced with Matt Ryan, however I think to many folks watch ESPN and think they know everything about the guy, he’s a much better passer than some give him credit.

I’ve only seen him play live twice, both at Charlotte, but I’ve watched many an ATL game with him at the helm. As a Panther fan, I hated seeing Ryan go to ATL, as he is 10x the QB Vick was, or ever will be.
I’m wondering what’s left on his contract that someone is going to have to pay him, unless ATL cuts his ass. that’s what’s going to limit the number of teams willing to take a risk on an average QB with 2 yrs, not only out of the game, but behind bars…
