Where Do You Go to Get Your News?

pushharder and sexmachine, sorry for interpreting the question poorly (nursing finals week, stress!)

Yes, I do actually WATCH and LISTEN to FOX NEWS. Sean Hannity, Bill OReilly, Megan Kelly and Greta Van Susstren.
Have trouble following brette baire. Chris Wallace does a nice job of allowing everyone, even with differing opinions to have a say.
Plus he is actually a gentleman about it. I found it infuriating when Bill was interviewing the PRESIDENT and found it necessary to
behave like a malignant 5 year old by INTERUPTING 42 times in 60 minutes !

There are times that I will agree with someone like Sean Hannity. Say, in the instance of the Spring Breakers in florida and how badly
it all went down this year. I do agree that John Stewart could have been a little more reserved 3 years ago when he bashed Sean on
this issue.

I did follow glen beck for a bit, but found that he went a little toooo off the charts even for myself (consider whos saying THAT!)
Hope this helps to clarify ?

Alex Jones
Fucking A man. Kill the globalists.

HA! Good ole Alex! One of the first videos I watched on youtube was his infiltration into the Bohemian Grove. I used to listen to him a lot for entertainment value but the screaming rants were getting too much. He makes some valid points but he always seems to take them to an extreme. He was (probably still is) big on the militarization of police problem, but would link it to the New World Order, Bilderbergs etc., and basically erodes any validity to his original argument. I think he is profiting nicely from his rants and I wish I thought of it first.

One of my favorite deep leftist friends is a big 911 truther…

He told me once “Alex Jones is a CIA plant, and when the truth movement was getting close they planted him to shame the community and throw us off the scent.”

He’s since lost interest in the “truth” and mainly just shamelessly self plugs on social media, along with carrying enough water for any democrat on earth that California would drown if he were to ship it to them. He’s having so much fun calling republicans racist, I’m not sure he’ll be able to match the soon to be sexist quota…

And Fox News for my Comedy !

any questions ?
no questions, but this kind of mindset explains a lot of what’s wrong with the country.

That is totally believable. AJ is too good at what he does.

I only watch a little TV, and most of that is the NFL/European soccer/MLB/a little basketball. I do occasionally catch Stewart/Colbert (back when) and O’Reilly, only really because I like each of them in their own way, and though they’re all partisans, they’re smart partisans. Colbert was also genuinely and extremely funny.

Print: NYT and WSJ. Washpost only when there’s something I should read. Weekly: Economist and New Yorker. Less-than-weekly: the NYRB and Foreign Affairs. If I’m busy, I drop down to just skimming the NYT and the Economist.

I read all the big websites arbitrarily. More often than I should, I check Breitbart and the Guardian/Salon to see what the idiots are up to.

 • Correction – I liked O’Reilly until I discovered that he’s in the Brian Williams club for sure. I had heard people talking about ole Bill (as I had about Williams, and not infrequently), but all of these assholes – famous or not – talk about each other.

I used to somewhat enjoy O’Reilly because he was genuinely talented. A bit self-righteous for my taste but he was good at his job. Haven’t watched him in a long time but when I did occasionally watch I noticed his energy levels dropping. He got a little lazy and didn’t have the same passion for his job. Half-assing interviews, not being as witty, etc. Megyn Kelly immediately surpassed him in terms of talent when she got the opportunity. My opinion is based on dated anecdotal experience so not sure how they’re doing now.

Hannity is garbage and I’m surprised he’s had such a long and successful career. He lacks talent and isn’t sharp or insightful. Immediate red flag would be raised if I knew someone looked to Hannity for insights.

I’ve heard/read this too. Anyone who actually believes in a movement, and has even a small amount of intelligence knows acting like a buffoon, clouds the message and focuses on the delivery.

My red flag, which lead to my inquiry, started when AJ threw a tantrum on Piers Morgan.

Actually only three people on the planet that I would enjoy Punching in the Face:
MY pharmacology teacher, Piers Morgan and Bill O’reilly !

Other than that, most are safe.

Some people just really do need a punch in the Face.
