haha, i change my avatar, it was a hot big booty model, my current one is my wife and I.
btw, i just read all your cervical spine issues, fuck, it sounds just like what I have, and yes, i too have radiculopathy, and cant sit or stand in a static position for any length of time.
FML,
add to that a partial torn meniscus in my left knee, total triceps tendon rupture in my left, a severe recent quad and hamstring tear (the quad tear was damn close to needing surgery)
ya, i get you, most of the guys our age who have been serious about heavy lifting for a LONG time, have plenty of scars and injuries to “brag” about, so it is hard to be impressed by others injuries when you have a list of your own.

I can’t even sit at a desk anymore. I had congenital stenosis operated on about 15 years ago and my cervical spine is just degenerative. I’m not sure how much is weightlifting related. It’s probably all the sports and everything in total.

shit man, thats brutal.
when i fly back to bama to see my girls, i have to get shitfaced wasted on valium and booze to be able to make the trip, and it is still awful. [/quote]
I can get oxy’s or percs from my doc whenever I want but I decided I’m not going down that dead end. I just deal with the pain. Mental strength. Makes it hard to concentrate but I just live with it. If I’m not chained to a desk I can manage it by laying down when needed. Any time I’m on the puter I’m laying down with the lap top propped against my knees. That’s how I’m typing to you now. I’m not sure what the hell I’d do on a long flight - probably pop a perc or two. FML and I’d love to get away to some warm beach this winter. Prolly not going to happen.

this is weird. your symptoms are pretty much exactly like mine, FISHER (another poster in the over 35 forum) also has similar issues with c-spine issues.
my neurosurgeon will prescribe me anything I want too, but like you, i am NOT going to head down that road. but in a way, i am already doing it, by self medicating with booze.
funny thing, I NEVER used to drink, AT ALL. not even a beer when out with friends. I started drinking just last year…so I guess I earned it.
