I apollogize for the hi-jack guitar rant Rock. But I don’t really have any arm wreslin’ stories. I was never any good at it either. Win some, lose some… ahhhhh!

No problem…I play guitar too.
Sorry after reading this threat I have to hijack it for one question.
I am a Bassplayer, and I heard a guy saying that heavy lifting (especially deadlifting) hurts your ability to play.
I love deadlifting and so far I don’t think it has hurt my playing, but then again my max at the moment is 395 lb., so it might only affect your playing when it gets real heavy. Has anyone of you lifters and guitar/bass players had any problems with that?
Thanks for any replies and sorry for the hijack, well done with the armwrestling btw…I have very long arms (I’m 6’4) and usually I can hold on forever and eventually win,but then my elbow hurts like hell for a week…
Rockscar, do this next time someone challenges you, bet he will shut up for a while…or sue you

Man, I threw up in my mouth a little watching that video. You can actually hear his arm breaking…Sucks to be him
As far as arm wrestling, I kept being challenged by my good friend who doesn’t lift, but used to. He is overweight now but 5’8’’ like me and he has just always been strong as hell. I never wanted to make a run at it because our arms are the same length but he’s got about 45 lbs on me but one night (after a few) I said fuck it. I slammed his shit down and no one was more shocked than me. Go figure, I guess lifting heavy things does make you stronger. He shutup…
I, too, play guitar and have been for 17 years now and can’t really tell a grip diff. If anything, it’s maybe just more equal to my right hand. Anyway, Congrats and now all you have to do is knock the shit out of him every time you see him at work…
Wasn’t this a Tim Allen movie?

Well my deadlift is lower than yours, but I haven’t had any problems. I also don’t play bass (classical and electrical guitar).
I can imagine any reasons for it being a problem…
