Blizzard may be the kings of MMO’s, but DAoC = Best original MMO out there.
Edit: I wanted to try WAR before it came out, but once it came out all I heard was bad stuff about it. So I never gave it a chance.

Though I heard they are doing good things with WAR lately and its looking up. I don’t have the time to play any of that shit anymore though, I hardly even touch my PS3 anymore for anything other than blu-ray movies.
Not really. My account ran out a week and a half ago, and as of that time it’s still going down hill. The classes are very unbalanced, which is the main problem. All of the overpowered classes are on one side (Order), so Order dominates every server. The game is losing subscriptions quickly.
My main was a Squig Herder…by far the most fun class in the game. I played just about every class but nothing had more of a fun factor than that class…and when well played you could pretty much own anyone 1v1. Though the game’s PVP isn’t 1v1 based and in zerg v zerg the class really wasnt good…no real form of AOE at all. I spent my time trying to burst down all the OP as fuck BWs in zerg fights.
Id say its biggest flaw other than the balance issue (BWs and WPs being the worst) was that it was not stable with lots of people in 1 area. Which made forts and cities unbearable.
Whose looking forward to Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2?
I used to play FFXI. Anyone else? I was on Fenrir server. Best warrior of the lands.

Allright! You too!
In fact I just got back into Diablo II for the time being.
I played WoW for a few months but for some reason it didn’t really appeal to me.
I got pretty addicted to Everquest 2 for a while. Couldn’t get into WoW or WAR for some reason.
I raped face at Starsiege and Tribes 2.
I don’t really play MMO’s like I used to.

Cannot fucking wait. I wish the blizzcon would happen already so we can get some fuckin updates!
I started off with Ultima Online when I was 8. Played it for 6 years and was OBSESSED. Love the game and I’m hoping Mortal Online can match even 1/4 of the fun I had with UO. Then came DAoC and played that forever as well. The RvR I miss so much (E-Main and rockin the weak zerglins, Mmmm!). I tried other games like Shadowbane, Horizons, Lineage 2, WoW, WAR, and they can’t even match!

WoW was the last MMO I played. Once I got over the stigma in my mind of playing it, it was actually quite cool.
Planetside is by-far-and-away the best MMO I’ve played: developing your character, getting better weapons, commanding vehicles, my outfit going on a raid… happy memories!
Planetside was a helluva fun game. Tons of dropships, fighters, bombers flying in to assault a base and they’re all in your outfit, pretty badass.

My main was a Marauder. Fun class, but extremely gimped. I was pretty good for a marauder though. I did well in scenes considering the class that I was playing. The last straw for me was when a few weeks ago they made white lions rediculously OP also… so now Order has 4 OP classes (BW, WP, WH, and WL), and we had all of the shitty ones.

Holy crap I used to waste away in front of the computer during HS playing Tribes. If you ever feel like dusting off your old cd’s and playing some Renegades, you know who to look for.
I was addicted to a MUD called Moongate for two years in High School. Then they thankfully redesigned the game basically from scratch and I got pissed off that I had to learn everything over again and just quit.
Have you guys heard of All Points Bulletin? I applied for the beta 'cause my friend told me too, but it should be out the 1st quarter of 2010. From what I hear, it’s part MMO, part FPS (like Counter-Strike), part GTA-style, and all-around awesome.
I MMO’d for waaaaaay too long. Started freshman year of HS (96) with The Realm, then moved onto Ultima online (still log in some of the public/free servers every now and then), EQII, AO, SWG, FFXI, WoW, DAoC, Diablo II, Warhammer, LotR:Online, and a few flash ones.
If they’re consolidting DAoC onto 1 server and it won’t be dead, I’d totally go back to it. Their crafting system was awesome (as was SWGs)!

They are. Knowing Mythic though, it might take awhile.

aaaaaand i may get rehooked, lol. esp now that you can be GM in every tradeskill on 1 character. WEEEEEEEEEEE! Don’t even want to know how much money that’d take. good lawd.
Loved Dark age of Camelot, couldn’t get enough of it in high school. Started playing sometime within the first year of release. When it took days upon days to level to 50. When SI expansion was the only expansion available. That game was way ahead of its time… and its sad that its only hanging on by threads now. I’m hoping they make the origins server and everything works out.
