I’ve never seen more than about twenty minutes of the show and parts of maybe 5 or 6 episodes. Yet, while standing there last night watching the last ten minutes of gruelingly slow dialog, I think to myself “wow, I’ve hardly seen any of this show, but I’m still completely up to date with what’s going on”.
I can’t make it through the last two minutes, so during one of the many long, silent pauses I turn to my wife, who appears to be in a deep trance and say “good n-” before I’m cut off with a sharp “SSHHH”. WTF?!
From what I hear my wife isn’t the only one so engrossed in the show, much of America is also. I don’t think I could stay awake through an entire episode. For my wife it seems more important than life. “I wait all week for this show.”
I make it a point to watch two shows, Lost and Prison Break. If I’m watching Prison Break I have no problem wrestling with my son or even going up stairs to make him a snack. My wife doesn’t seem to be able to miss a single audible breath of boring Grey’s Anatomy. I really don’t get it. Am I missing something?
I watched that show last season and thought it was a pretty good show. My wife loves it now, but I can’t seem to stand it this season. It just seems to have gone off the deep end or just too much of the same old same old. I’d much rather watch CSI.
While women may be able to multi-task better(as they claim), I’ve found that when it comes to tv, movies, reading, they tune out everything else.

It’s a show about ‘hot’ Doctors performing heroic surgeries and being involved in incredibly over-dramatic relationships…
You wonder how a woman could be engrossed in that?

I also like Smallville. Not enough to know when it comes on, but if I flip accross it, I watch. The other shows I watch if I come accross them are The Office and My Name is Earl. I end up seeing those two quite a bit because my wife won’t miss them. At least we have common ground there.
props must be given for mentioning scrubs, they even took a shot at Gray’s anatomy last season for copying them.
Elliot: cant we just go home and watch gray’s anatomy ?
J.D: ok, I just love that show, its like they’ve been watching our lives and then decided to put it on television.(ponders for a second, then walks off)
I can?t believe you just compared Scrubs to Sex and the city. I hate Sex and the city so much, I brought my sister the entire DVD box set and a DVD player for her room so I never have to watch it anymore.

My wife is addicted. I just go upstairs and play NCAA Football 07.
One of the keys is that they picked very handsome actors for all of the male parts and picked not-stunningly-gorgeous women (except for that one crazy blonde one) for the female parts.
That show sucks along with most tv shows now- reality, sitcoms, the whole bit.
Here are my personal favs:
Simpsons
Southpark
Seinfeld
Frasier
Daily Show
Colbert Report
Ali G show
Vanderlust (this show is hilarious)
Lost is Ok, although I’d rather by the dvd season

Agreed. Scrubs is nothing like Sex and the City. It’s actually good and redeeming,
