What are you trying to say? You think the war was a good decision or a bad decision? If you think it was a good one, you think the way it’s been conducted has been good? You do or don’t think people have the right to criticize? Most people that think the war has been conducted poorly don’t blame the soliders. They are grateful for their sacrifice and respect them tremendously.
Unecessary loss of life in a war that they feel should not be fought or not fought in the way it has been makes the issue more tragic in this view. It doesn’t negate the heroism of the troops.

As a matter of fact, I live in the UK and the war in Iraq did nothing but made UK a worse place to live in. I hope you won’t drag us into your next stupid war.

I would hope everyone already knows why they have the freedom of speech. I doubt you would find many people who don’t appreciate the sacrifice soldiers are giving for this war…but that doesn’t we have to agree with the war. You said yourself that it is hard for you to form an opinion because you are in the middle of it. That is a HUGE point that you made and one that I think most people need to understand. I hope morale is high for the mission you have.

Thanks man, that makes it better. No pun intended! morale is like an ocean up and down. i cant realy question these things, you just keep your head down, do your job, and take care of your people.
If doing what im told and staying out of trouble gets me home to my wife than thats what ill do.
i dont expect for people to agree with this war. some people are for some are against, it’s just a part of life.

It is not unpatriotic to question the government or ask for answers. It certainly is not something you have the time and ability to do while actively serving, but that doesn’t mean others should not.
I’m not American, but even I appreciate the duty and sacrifice being made by soldiers every day.
If you have something to say that will educate people here about something, I’m sure they’d like to hear it. Telling people they aren’t able to think about something because they aren’t involved isn’t going to do that.

Maybe the isolationists back then were right. After all, Why should we have sacrificed American lives simply for the sake of European freedom? Why was Europe so special as to warrant American lives and Iraq wasn’t worth it?
What we should have done is realized that the attack on Pearl was our fault really, as our our foreign policy pushed Japan into their actions. We could have saved alot of lives in the pacific if we simply would have readjusted our foreign policy to be less threatening to our asian friends. We just didn’t understand them that’s all.
And Germany, after they declared war on us, why didn’t we let diplomacy work right? We could have talked things over with them and stayed out of the whole mess right?Instead, we go rushing in and waste American lives. And for what?, European freedom? What right did we have to interfere in Europe’s problems? I’m sure we could have let Europe work out it’s kinks and done buisiness with whomever was left. That’s right folks, it was all none of our buisiness. Should’ve stayed out of it alright. Especially when you consider that both parts of Europe (the part whose ass we kicked, and the part whose ass we saved), don’t like us much now anyway. No American lives for any countries freedom.
