What do you think about a redneck/ simplified version of this rogue donkey that will do both?
I don’t see why not if you can figure out some of the specs on it.
Well since I will be the only midget using it, I don’t think it would need to be quite so large or complex. A 73inch foot print is pretty big.
Keep in mind you need clearance for the plates to swing on the pendulum arm. With my RH, I use my smaller diameter 45s or else I drag on the floor.
Could always put the rig up on blocks as well.
The specs I found online has the height at 45" I think that should be more than enough. I have quite a few 35s if I ever get that strong. Lol
Not the best picture as it’s hard to get everything in as it’s so cramped in but gives you an idea. So jelous of some of your gyms tho
Bad ass gyms y’all got! My basement gym is a work in progress. So far…
Squat rack
Lat pull / row machine
Seated calf
Cardio bike
Homemade cable crossover
Homemade dip / abs thing
And have a standing calf machine on the way
Maybe I can figure out how to post a pic for y’all
Timber
Your in probably in the same situation I am in where floor space is at a premium.
Got verification that the company I work for made their profit goals! Adding 1 or 2 things to the collection.
yes mate, its not a luxury i can afford atm … i have the essentials but as stated in first post would love the room for a Reverse Hyper , and some matts for rolling.
Would love a second cage so i can set up the Mrs bar and mine separately , and not have to constantly drop/add plates … although that is about the only cardio i get in for a lifting session haha
My end I have to make room in my garage for the wife’s car along with stuff I’m using to slowly remodel the house.
I was eyeballing this the other day. I have their GHR 2.0 (or something like that) It takes up so much freakin room and it’s not a reverse hyper combo. I wish I had waited until this was released. I think garage gym lab has a template for building a reverse hyper out of wood.
I had to make room for my wife’s newest fitness device – called a “Jacob’s Ladder”. Basically it’s a treadmill, but a ladder. She’s climbs up it consistently, and I liked it as a ladder, but she’s now modified it by taking out random rungs, putting on half rungs, and putting on boards and irregular surfaces to simulate the not-evenclimbing surfaces one faces in nature.
It’s what I get for marrying spider-woman.
I’ve busted my ass on it twice now.
I remember the first time I used one of these. It was a pretty humbling experience.
Two people can work off your rack. You just need to pull it away from the wall and put the barbells on the outside of the rack. If you are worried about safety then just spot each other.
It’s probably the only machine I can honestly say gives a full-body workout. You could pretty much do that and be in great, all around, shape.
Or, you fall and die.
Thanks! I’ll check it out. I have googled several DIY versions of both RH and GHDs. How hard could be??? Lol
I have plenty of steel to buld the framework, so I think all I need is the pipe, and the padding.
