I’m a former patient at Defy (specifically Dr Saya, I felt the NPs and PAs were sales people for novel treatments), and have been seeing Dr Rotman in NYC for the last 2 or so years.
I’ve moved out of NYC (not sure where I’ll end up yet), and Dr Rotman’s office has started turning me to phone calls with his NPs (some better, some worse), refuses to order bloodwork when I complained of some recent issues (said bloods 6 months ago are still “recent enough”), and is no longer working with Empower & Hallendale. Not being in the US for a couple months, I’m stuck sending my parents asking pharmacies to fill my scripts. I have enough issues with changing brands and such without it getting worse from dealing with multiple chain pharmacies.
I was thinking of going back to Defy, but curious what other options are out there. I have some unique needs, like a nonfunctioning pituitary tumor, that led me to only see Dr Saya back then. My protocol has been pretty stable for the last couple years, so I’m not desperate to find someone to help me ASAP.
I’ve seen some good things about Matrix Hormones too, but who knows if any reviews are real anymore. But key point, I don’t mind paying more for someone knowledgable and able to help me over the humps that come up, not just someone who prescribes TRT for good bloods, HCG for small balls, and an AI if my nipples itch.
