this was my logic for not including a couple of my favourite items in my list
2 Ted’s Fish Fry with tartar sauce and a strawberry shake.
I’ve had to give this a couple of days of thought and I’m going
Beef brisket and pulled pork burger with bbq sauce on a brioche jalapeno bun
Lamb dhansak with rice and a peshwari naan
Chocolate ganache
Treacle pudding with custard
Pint of guiness with meal, gooseberry gin and tonic after
Beef brisket and pulled pork burger with bbq sauce on a brioche jalapeno bun
Is this a burger made of brisket topped with pulled pork, a burger made of a combination of brisket and pulled pork, or a burger topped with brisket AND pulled pork? If the third choice: smashed burger or tavern?
I feel like, no matter what, it should be topped with an onion ring: your thoughts?
Is this a cheeseburger? If so: what cheese?
Very good question, It’s option 3 and without a shadow of a doubt we’re going tavern burger.
It’s not usually a deal breaker for me but I feel that in the context of the fact it’s a last meal then yes there should be an onion ring topper.
I tend to avoid cheese due to the havoc it plays with my guts but again, in the context it would be rude not to. At the risk of being controversial I think blue cheese
Baby back ribs, smoked brisket, grilled veal chops, Texas toast, cole slaw, and chocolate cake w/ Talenti Southern Pecan gelato
Oh! Now this is getting my ocd turning.
It might take years, but I will have something on one of these.
can’t help with the bbq, but I can make this if you ever find yourself in Philly
Right now I crave Italian bad so I would say an antipasti plate for starter and maybe some beef carpaccio too, then a neapolitan pizza topped with prosciutto and a burrata accompanied by some red wine. And for dessert, I would have some dark chocolate gelato.
If it could somehow be delivered, I’d have foies gras from Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. It was the best thing I’ve ever tasted, seriously.
Oh! That reminds me! I know what I want for my last meal now! This stuff, which @Brant_Drake refused to help me replicate out of sheer malice.
Well, now you guys know who had motive to end me.
Tell me what you remember was in it/what restaurant it was and I’ll try.
I did make the salad though.
I looked for an online menu and couldn’t find the dishes listed on old photos of old menus to get info for you. I didn’t know at the time what the flavors were that made it different, so I gave up on it. Now of course I don’t remember what it tasted like, just that at the time I declared it “the best.”
Ha!
