What Makes You Laugh at the Gym?

Shut up! I can do my ab work wherever I want. Stop watching me. That’s freaking weird.

Oh wait. Your in Alabama. Never mind.
Ohhh so it appears crazy ab lady has a Canadian doppleganger. Well, I’m sure someone is complaining about your shenanigans in their igloo gym right now.

i cant tell if you detected her sarcasm and are doing it back or if you really think she called you a redneck?

People who think they are the final judges of what good and bad exercises are.

Maybe they really ARE doing cheat curls?

A few months ago I was practicing power cleans from the hang using about 50kg. The gym was crowded and there was no free space so I had to do them in the power rack. The stoppers were set at a height about 5 inches below my knees.

On my third rep I was distracted by my friend saying something to me and as I racked the bar on my shoulders it slipped out of my grip. I’m 6’4 so the bar had a long way to fall before the extremely loud crashing noise as it smashed into the stoppers. Without thinking about it I reflexively yelled out FUCK as the bar was hitting the stoppers. Everyone in the gym turned and looked at me. Nobody laughed except for me and my friend.

I have to admit though, if I saw someone else doing what I did, I would have pissed myself laughing and then thought to myself what a fucking retard.

The other night I saw two guys doing curls in the squat rack with about 165. Impressive weight. Then I watched their form. It was like a power clean and a standing back extension all rolled into one. If that wasn’t ghey enough they also had weight lifting belts.

and…
For some unknown reason my gym has two deadlift platforms that everyone thinks are meant to be used for curls.
That sounds like they were doing power curls.

She’s a woman, you think I even tried to interpret her response?

HA!

farts when jump roping are funny because you fart in the rhythm of your jumping

Jokes.

I hate it when I think of something funny and start laughing and I cant finsh a set.

people doing cable crossovers is usually funny most of the time

The guy doing front squats with the pad on the bar.

Although everything else about his squats was impressive so it’s a good bet I’m the dumb one.

Does anyone else do this? First I saw it in my igloo.

You’re kind of a dink. I like that. It’s fun. You have a stunning back too.

Thanks…cool…indeed, and thanks!

What makes me laugh at the gym? When they decide to raise money for the American Diabetes Association…by having a fucking bake sale!! I wish I was kidding, but there was a whole array of cookies and cakes ready to be bought as I left today. The best part was the sign:

“Have a cookie. You burnt it off!”

Possible, but doubtful I have seen them lift a few times. Ego rules their work out not form.

Maybe… but they way they were doing it would lead me to believe they will be having back surgery in the future.

My cousin’s gym partner got to failure on the bench press once, and while being trapped under the bar, he farted in his face.

Immature and funny, yes, but remember the guy one the bench was a beginner not pressing much weight so it wasn’t that dangerous.

people who wear jeans to the gym…or worse jean shorts! Anyone who owns jean shorts should seriously reconsider dressing in the dark and actually stepping outside there house while wearing them
