What Happened to Your High School Friends?

I’m 40…

I had like 9 or 10 friends that I knew from elementary school and we stuck together thru high school…best friends for life kind of thing…same neighborhood, parents friends, etc…I got married at 23 and they all didn’t…I had a kid at 24 and they didn’t…didn’t hang out with them for 10-15 years…then they all got married and now have kids…problem is my kids are now teenagers and these guys have newborns…we got nothing in common…I hang out with them maybe once a year, but it always ends up sucking because, well basically, we have nothing in common anymore…they’re all dead tired from lack of sleep with their crying brats and they hate life because their wives don’t want to fuck them what with breastfeeding and all…and it sucks because you tend to revert to how you acted in high school…I was a dick in high school…I just agreed to go to one of their b-day parties, but after writing this out think I’m going to come up with some excuse not to.

haha Polo, August Burns Red is an awesome metal band. One of my favorites!

All my HS friends are doing pretty well. Some are druggies now but many more are pursuing good degrees such as nutrition, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, etc. I’m a nutrition major myself, so hopefully it pays off!

I’m 25. I moved halfway across the country with my shoes on my feet ad am more successful now than most of the people I graduated with.

Thanks to facebook I can keep tabs.

LOTS of teachers.
Almost everyone had a baby or two.
Construction workers.
A couple of geniuses are over seas doing some stuff I could never understand.
Since I grew up 15 minutes from CFB Gagetown, many, many people are in the army.

And 1 guy I graduated with is actually a member on this site.

People get comfortable. I have friends that get very excited about sales at second hand shops, and I have friends with 300 dollar sunglasses.[/quote]

So you better not talk shit about me!!! Hahah j/k man. But seriously…

I stand corrected: ONE other person has heard of them

I graduated 2007, so most of my close friends are still hanging out, most of us are 21, so the bar scene has become our new hangout spot. Some other friends from high school have gotten married and have kids, one is going for his 3rd child already. Work-aholics, community college grads, some graduates from CSUN. I slimmed down since graduation so a lot of people think im my brother and not me haha.
