What Happened to T-Nation?

Strange. Youtube did the same thing with dead accounts Last month. Just did a spring cleaning and cleared thousands of Youtube accounts that had not been used for a period of time.

Hope it was that and not a “this person is to explicit or rude type of thing”.
Well I’m rude, raw and explicit. I’m still here aren’t I?

There must be other reasons why the other ‘‘sweet’’ female posters had their accounts canned.

I remember a few weeks back some posters decided to leave after Hal was cut off.
Well seems this has been a very busy place.

Can you comemnt on the rumor that several women were banned from the site after their SAMA pics were found pinned to the wall of a still at large serial killer?
Haha! This is a joke right?

Thank you.

Your forums will still be there. However, some of them will not be accessible by people who aren’t members.

Here’s a short version of the scoop – a lot of people were coming to the site, specifically, the Sex and the Male Animal forum, who weren’t members. I mean, a lot.

In general, though, a couple of forums, Sex and the Male Animal especially, have proved to be a big pain in the keister to us. People were using it as an unofficial Ashley Madison site – the site for cheating spouses. There isn’t a week that goes by that we don’t get emails from wannabe Romeos or Jezebels pleading that we delete all their posts from the dawn of T-Nation, lest their cheatin’ heart be exposed.

Furthermore, having that forum, and even the Steroid forum, prevents us from being accessible through certain search engines. “Oh heavens, that site discusses female body parts!” “They is talking about steer-oids!” Anyhow, it hurts our potential traffic immensely.

BUT, we’re not getting rid of them. We’re just making them a little less easy to find. However, once it’s completely worked out, you might just need to do an extra mouse click to find them.
Hey, I wouldn’t have found my wife if it wasn’t for SAMA… It has served it’s purpose :)
Yes, thank goodness Valor’s wife stopped giving him blowjobs!

First of all, I ain’t even mad.

Secondly, do you think it is perfectly reasonable to act like you deserve answers from a supplement company on their own web site despite not having EVER purchased anything of theirs?

That your input should be as valid as the people who actually shop here?

That money DOESN’T talk when it comes to how businesses approach their practice?

That the people who contribute to this site in the venues that would spur the most purchases are on the same level as people who post 90% cat pics in the D-list areas?

That, exceptions to the rule notwithstanding, the above is true a vast majority of the time?

THAT’S the point. It isn’t a reflection on any one of you, though the fingers-in-ears LALALA-ing certainly is.

But, nah, I’m an asshole for questioning that the TK thread is somehow just as much a moneymaking machine as the BOI threads were/are.

Cool story, sis.

It is pure and simple:

If the content of our site is causing us to lose credibility as a leading resource in our industry, we will remove the content.

IF users are banned, we are not going to have a dialog about it on the Forums. If we determine that a member is causing overt chaos and diverting our efforts from our core business, we reserve the right to manage these users appropriately.
So what you are saying is that some of the PW women are more loose cannons than others that still have posting capabilities? & we aren’t talking about ONE member here. Because you reserve the right, doesn’t make you right. At least a dozen women, who have never razed nor created chaos has been banned.

Complete Nonsense!

This whole issue is like talking a glass eye to sleep.
OK I Guess I should add that GENDER also has nothing to do with this.

This situation has NOTHING to do with what Level you are, which gender you are, or whether you have purchased or not.

And again, IF users are banned, we will not have a dialog about our reasoning on the Forums.

Me too.

They are willing to post half-nudies for the world to oggle, but gawd forbid they broadcast some a 1-5 number that ambiguously suggests the amount of money they have dropped on this site.

Privacy is a funny thing.

Yes, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to ask questions even if someone doesn’t purchase products or have a log or whatever. I think that anyone who frequents this site has the right to go “WTF?”
LowfatMatt wrote:

Why not? For the most part the question is being asked on behalf of some of the people banned. If it’s a business decision, it’s fair enough but perhaps the rest of us would like to avoid the mis-step that led to that decision. Wrapping it in mystery just prolongs the curiosity.

Allrighty bro, we’ve heard ya. You win.

Now calm down, okay? If this wasn’t such a big deal to you, you wouldn’t write long paragraphs on the issue.

The Sex and the Male Animal (SAMA) forum has been removed from the site due to its strong sexual content and the escalating problematic behavior exhibited by some of the members posting in that forum.

Specifically, the sexual content of SAMA was hurting our search-engine rankings, as well as getting the entire site locked out of many privately held Internet service providers.

Additionally, members would post photos and comments that they would later regret, which ultimately led to some losing jobs, getting divorced, and being humiliated. These individuals would often contact us and ask that we delete some or all of their posts, which placed an enormous burden on our staff.

In the end, SAMA, which is completely unrelated to our core business, cost us a lot more than its worth.

It simply had to go.

Please respect our decision, regarding SAMA, and our choice not to comment beyond this statement.

Level 0’s bitching about the forum going downhill.
Who even looks at that? Did your mom make you a badge with your level on it?
I never look at it when it comes to forum-specific TOPICS (e.g., nutrition, bodybuilding, etc.).

However, if a bunch of people who have never spent a penny on a site run by a supplement company start complaining about the ways in which the company is changing the forum to better their business model… what the fuck are you expecting?

Biotest is a business. T-Nation is a clever advertising tool. If you aren’t contributing to their revenue stream, why should your opinion necessarily matter?

What makes you think you are “owed” anything?

Not sure what is so complicated about it.
It’s not complicated. It just seems a bit silly to point out. It’s not the first time I’ve heard it and it never gets any less foolish sounding every time I do.

Some people’s opinions are noted because they have something worth saying; not because they have laid out cash.

It’s understood that this is a business venture but 'tards with cash are not necessarily the ones worth listening to.
Oh come on…you gotta admit the QUALITY posts on this site made by non-Biotest customers are exceedingly few and far between…

One only had to click through a couple pages in any thread in the cesspool that was PWI and SAMA (which also happened to take up the most bandwidth on the site…I never realized how many pointless responses could be generated in the span of a few hours…how on earth does a thread about shaving your ballsack get more responses on a weightlifting website than a recap from the Arnold?) to see all the non-contributors “contributing” to that section.

I’m not sure what is even remotely silly or foolish about that argument.

Those Level 0’s taking up bandwidth and demanding to be catered to are nothing more than parasites…if removing some of the “popular” forums cleans them out so actual customers can enjoy the website/company more, I am all for it.
Rationally speculating from a business mindset, maybe they like loiterers hanging on their porch in case they decide to come in and stay one day. Some companies would call that a “pipeline”.

That said, I have used Biotest products and I did not buy them online though I did buy them after discovering this site and consequently Biotest. FTR and all. I do my supp shopping tacked on to grocery shopping, brick and mortar, it’s a system that works for me.

Also FTR, I plan to clean up for summer with the v-diet shortly, many of the products have to be purchased online. It will be a first taste of some for me and who knows, I may wind up having a level value too, and maybe not.

Either way, in a community of sorts, members of all stripes will have an opinion on changes, usually not relating to marketing strategy at all but instead to their day to day usage and to that end, your levels don’t mean much. You have a point with bandwidth but hey, if you drive down the street and see a giant inflatable gorilla waving its arms you just may stop at the advertising business to check out the ruckus, get “sucked in” and start buying things.*

 • All speculation of course. I have no idea about the overall marketing plan/operations of Biotest or T-Nation. Just rational, business minded speculation from a Level 0, so feel free to discard indiscriminately.
You don’t have to explain yourself to me brother…you seem like a good dude…but guys like you and dirtbag, who happen to be Level 0 on the webz and actually purchase B&M Biotest stuff, are probably not in the majority…I stand by my speculation that most Level 0’s on this site contribute nothing useful to the site’s bottom line, fiscal or otherwise.
