Thank you.

Your forums will still be there. However, some of them will not be accessible by people who aren’t members.

Here’s a short version of the scoop – a lot of people were coming to the site, specifically, the Sex and the Male Animal forum, who weren’t members. I mean, a lot.

In general, though, a couple of forums, Sex and the Male Animal especially, have proved to be a big pain in the keister to us. People were using it as an unofficial Ashley Madison site – the site for cheating spouses. There isn’t a week that goes by that we don’t get emails from wannabe Romeos or Jezebels pleading that we delete all their posts from the dawn of T-Nation, lest their cheatin’ heart be exposed.

Furthermore, having that forum, and even the Steroid forum, prevents us from being accessible through certain search engines. “Oh heavens, that site discusses female body parts!” “They is talking about steer-oids!” Anyhow, it hurts our potential traffic immensely.

BUT, we’re not getting rid of them. We’re just making them a little less easy to find. However, once it’s completely worked out, you might just need to do an extra mouse click to find them.
Non members…so if you created a log on and password, did that make you a member or did you need to purchase something to become one?
No, you’re a member if you have a log on and a password.

Gotcha! so I’m gonna PM you!

Who even looks at that? Did your mom make you a badge with your level on it?
I never look at it when it comes to forum-specific TOPICS (e.g., nutrition, bodybuilding, etc.).

However, if a bunch of people who have never spent a penny on a site run by a supplement company start complaining about the ways in which the company is changing the forum to better their business model… what the fuck are you expecting?

Biotest is a business. T-Nation is a clever advertising tool. If you aren’t contributing to their revenue stream, why should your opinion necessarily matter?

What makes you think you are “owed” anything?

Not sure what is so complicated about it.
It’s not complicated. It just seems a bit silly to point out. It’s not the first time I’ve heard it and it never gets any less foolish sounding every time I do.

Some people’s opinions are noted because they have something worth saying; not because they have laid out cash.

It’s understood that this is a business venture but 'tards with cash are not necessarily the ones worth listening to.
Oh come on…you gotta admit the QUALITY posts on this site made by non-Biotest customers are exceedingly few and far between…

One only had to click through a couple pages in any thread in the cesspool that was PWI and SAMA (which also happened to take up the most bandwidth on the site…I never realized how many pointless responses could be generated in the span of a few hours…how on earth does a thread about shaving your ballsack get more responses on a weightlifting website than a recap from the Arnold?) to see all the non-contributors “contributing” to that section.

I’m not sure what is even remotely silly or foolish about that argument.

Those Level 0’s taking up bandwidth and demanding to be catered to are nothing more than parasites…if removing some of the “popular” forums cleans them out so actual customers can enjoy the website/company more, I am all for it.
Rationally speculating from a business mindset, maybe they like loiterers hanging on their porch in case they decide to come in and stay one day. Some companies would call that a “pipeline”.

That said, I have used Biotest products and I did not buy them online though I did buy them after discovering this site and consequently Biotest. FTR and all. I do my supp shopping tacked on to grocery shopping, brick and mortar, it’s a system that works for me.

Also FTR, I plan to clean up for summer with the v-diet shortly, many of the products have to be purchased online. It will be a first taste of some for me and who knows, I may wind up having a level value too, and maybe not.

Either way, in a community of sorts, members of all stripes will have an opinion on changes, usually not relating to marketing strategy at all but instead to their day to day usage and to that end, your levels don’t mean much. You have a point with bandwidth but hey, if you drive down the street and see a giant inflatable gorilla waving its arms you just may stop at the advertising business to check out the ruckus, get “sucked in” and start buying things.*

 • All speculation of course. I have no idea about the overall marketing plan/operations of Biotest or T-Nation. Just rational, business minded speculation from a Level 0, so feel free to discard indiscriminately.

True, but it is hilarious to even entertain the argument that the 10+ ppd wonders of this site who contribute almost EXCLUSIVELY to off-topic sections manage to draw in a lasting customer base of individuals when compared to those who make the majority of their contributions in the ON-topic sections… posters who, coincidentally enough, almost TO THE MAN have above-average purchasing records.

There’s really nothing wrong with leeching off of this site – that’s the risk they take when they give away information for free. There’s also nothing wrong with posting mostly in the GAL/SAMA/PWI sections. It doesn’t make them bad people and it doesn’t mean their posts aren’t entertaining or interesting.

But to not contribute a CENT to this web site over the YEARS some have been here, to not contribute any INFORMATION to the specific forums that WOULD draw the highest, most loyal customer base, to argue that people who find this website by Googling “She’s Got Curves” or “Squirting Etiquette” or whatever end up sticking around to become big spenders… all to lend some semblance of credibility to the perspective that a NON-SPENDING LOITERER “deserves” explanations on the sites changes is, frankly, ridiculous.

Ah… OK.

Just to be clear: we’ve moved from “it doesn’t matter whether or not they are paying customers” to saying, “well, what if we ALL happen to purchase our Biotest supplements elsewhere?”

Is that about right? By “that”, of course, I mean the tacit acknowledgement of my point regarding money talking being a valid one?

Gee whiz, I wonder just how much more we can budge this stalemate if we keep at it for more than… oh, I dunno, a few posts.
Actually I came to this site cause I seen this big d00d drinking Surge Recovery in the locker room at my gym in 2007. I didn’t know much about supplements at the time. He gave me this site and recommended the forums cause they are wealth if info. I have been studying this site ever since.

I started buying Biotest products cause they are good and they work. They have good science backing them up. I even persuaded my local supplement retail store to buy them.

The only reason I don’t post in other parts of the forum is because I feel I am not qualified to offer advice when I have so many questions still. And I am not going to re-post what has been posted a 1000 times.

And now your telling me cause I have level 0 my opinion doesn’t matter? Get off your online high horse.

And last but not least I come for the people and I am passionate about a great site that gives out free knowledge. If TC said I am shutting it all down I would respect that and say thanks for the great times. Cause its his place and that’s fine. All I was asking for was whats going on explanation from him. I had a friend at my gym tell me about this new website back in 2001, I came here to find articles involving powerlifting, rather than hawt abz stuff. I remember the fat fast diet, t-dawg, and others to be refreshing and new.

Also, I continue to see the dodging of the question about why MEMBERS were booted with no reason or explanation.
TC, neelydan feels you should house the site in Canada, as we are far more polite up here, eh?

ps please don’t mention the bodyguard and neelydan, he downright frightens neelydan and neelydan worked very hard to build a bridge of sorts between the bodyguard and himself

Yeah… keep trying to convince us that all those Level 0’s out there are drawing as many CUSTOMERS as Professor X, MODOK, Stu, Waylander, CC, H4M et al.

The people who come here strictly to see a half-exposed ass in the dredges of this site, or to see how many inane cat pictures get posted, are certainly NOT the people who are going to make lasting customers when compared to the number of customers drawn here because of – crazily enough, I know – the WEIGHT-LIFTING aspect of this site.

Check SAMA and check PWI to get a general sense of how much cash the prolific post-spammers contribute. Certainly, you will find it to be much less than those who are regular contributors to the “main” forums. And, oddly enough, those exact same people who rack up 10+ posts per day manage to do it CONSISTENTLY in areas that are NOT related to the main themes of this site.

But, yeah, they get to argue about “atmosphere” changes without anyone being allowed to shake their heads and chuckle.
has anyone mentioned that while they might like the site and the articles they might already have a preferred supplement company they use? I didn’t realize that using Biotest stuff was a requirement for frequenting this site.
