And let it be noted that the trillion dollar picture is actually double stacked. So if you didn’t realize that before, the amount you were imagining has now doubled. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Another good way to illustrate is as follows… a million seconds is about 11 days, a billion seconds is about 32 years, while a trillion seconds is about 32,000 years. In other words, a billion seconds is a little less than half of the average life expectancy of a healthy person, while a trillion seconds is about four times longer then length of recorded history.
