What Do You Guys Foresee as the "New Norms"?

Sabbath is implied with Ozzy. The others I would be open to.

3 and the speaking tour for myself. I don’t even know if they’ll continue playing long enough for me to catch up.

I suspect you are correct. It’s the damn yankees we have worry about

PS Don’t tell those guys I also have quite a selection of Bob Wills, symphonic, Big Band, 50’s and polka. They might boot me out of the rocker club.

You lost me here. But I’m onboard the rest. My dad never was a huge country fan but he owns Bob Wills vinyl as well

Your secret is safe with me. Bob Wills is still the king.

What do you mean by this? Sorry, I’m dumb.

You’re good man. You live in state that’s largest city isn’t very urban. (I’ve spent a lot of time in SF).

In largest cities, it’s a trend to not own vehicles, but used shared cars/scooters/bikes, apartments have shared showers, kitchen areas (think dorm). I live in a hipster state that also is pushing towards community food and commons spaces. Modern urban commune.

I believe Weird Al has a polka on every album that’s essentially just popular song snippets covered in polka form.

This should probably go under a “New Norm”.

I don’t think Trump’s ego will allow him to be a part of the “Ex-President’s Fraternity” (Nor do I think whoever is living will welcome him with open arms).

I think his post-Presidency will be marked by ego-boosting rallies; FOX shows and interviews; and speeches to Conservative Groups.

(And of course there will be an Autobiography written of the Greatest Presidency in History).

Was supposed to see Megadeth, Lamb of God, Trivium, and In Flames in July and am thinking it’s gonna be cancelled. I don’t know that they’ll be able to coordinate a tour for 4 headline-worthy bands like that in the near future…

Ditto (kinda). Went to a hip-hop/R&B 3 day festival in Vegas last fall that had some pretty huge artists. Was supposed to be repeated this year but it looks like now it won’t.

I get it. I’m honestly quite fine with it. But it’s just so fun to go watch your favorite artists, especially if there’s several on the same stage.

Bought the girlfriend tickets for Valentines Day to Chris Stapleton here in July and received the cancellation email today. Pissed. Tickets cost me $100+ for lawn after fees and all that bullshit you’d expect from Live Nation.

Do you guys foresee more “Pay-per-View” for a lot of the Top Artist?

You will never, EVER have the energy of a live Concert…but it would be something?

There’d have to be something very special about the performance to make me pay for it and I’m not a cheap person. I would just be very bored.

I saw him last summer, same type of thing. Fun concert, lots of cute country girls and everyone was smoking pot.

Was looking forward to those aspects at Chris Stapleton. sigh. I’ll get another chance eventually. Took her to Zac Brown Band the year before, and although the music is irritating to me (I will confess they are extremely talented musicians in terms of their instruments), the chicks were hot. Most of them were young and drunk so all I could think was “I remember my first beer” hah

It would have to be quite good, considering I could just watch an old concert on YouTube.

Yeah. There is an amazing amount of content on YouTube.

You just can’t reproduce the sites, sounds, smells and energy of a live concert.

What I foresee is that compliance rates will drop. Patience is wearing thin on restrictions. I don’t think pay per view concerts or sporting events can compete with what we had previously.

I think in a short time many will disregard all but the simplest least restrictive rules. Maybe you can get most people to wear a mask to go to a football game or the gym. I don’t think having bars, restaurants, gyms, etc… with capacity limits and distance limits will work for very long.

Especially if cool, fashionable and/or Team Oriented.

Hell…the Raiders “Black Hole” wears more mask and coverings that anyone would ever be expected to wear…!

Nice. It’s an okay city.

Thanks for clearing that up.
