About a year ago I switched from regular eggs to cage free or organic eggs. The difference in color alone is amazing. Regular eggs have a yellowish sun type color, free range eggs have this deep orange hue that looks and tastes amazing.
I’ve been making a bunch of Quesadilla burgers lately. 299 calories, 29 grams of protein, 11 grams of fiber a piece. Made out of lean burgers, a few pickles, some salsa, and this mexican cheese dipping sause all on the burger. I take those low carb tortilla’s that were mentioned in one of the past articles, cut them to the size of the burger, fry them up to make them hard and crispy, and use them as my bun. Works out nice.
Also a lot of chicken, turkey, broccoli, mixed veggie’s with rice. That’s really about it honestly, then of course protein shakes, BCAA’s, and I’ve been drinking a lot of Crystal Light. I know water would be better, but for someone with a severe sweet tooth, and at only 5 calories per 8 ounces, I figure it’s a lesser evil than cheating other ways. I haven’t even had any urges lately for anything else.
I have eaten the same things for the past couple of years.
protein: chicken breasts, tilapia, tuna, and eggs.
Carbs: green beans, babt carrots, peas, broccoli, and small amout of rolled oats.
Fats: olive oil
Once in a while I will it apples, blueberries, and strawberries.
I just mix it up using different herbs and spices. I just recently started using cumin and find I put it on everything reminds me of the smell of chili beans in grade school.
I try to keep organic-
It makes a huge difference in the tastes of fish and especially the eggs.
and I don’t really eat meat- so no pork beef or chicken.
I realized I have not eaten red meat in over 15 years.
meat just does not work for me.
I will eat turkey out of convenience , if I am traveling.
or if work is getting hectic.
So protein- salmon, tuna all fish except some shell fish
Eggs yogurts cottage cheese pretty much every day
and some good hard cheeses some milk. Some tofu a few times a week
I eat all manner of veggies and fruits, all day nuts.
beans and whole wheat pastas. Olives. Grains and rice over bread
and white flour… and we have always used olive oil.
Hmm… Cinnamon rolls, Mcdonalds 4x daily (Supersize everything!), Drink Dr Pepper by the gallon with IV infusions of Gatorade, and tubs of high fat ice cream. To become huge, ya gotta think HUGE!!!
