What area of the country and why?

where in the midwest are ya? i am in OHIO, yeeehaaaawwww. and i’m here until the end of june. shit.

Hey, HapaHoale: I take it from your “handle” that you’re of mixed Asian descent? Both Ko and I are also “hapa hoale”. He is one-half Japanese and I’m one-half Chinese (we’re both first-generation Asian Americans). Also, we’re thinking that you you live in Oregon - maybe Portland? And if so, have you checked out Noho’s Hawaiian Cafe? Awesome food - and LOT’S of food, too! BTW: Ko is from Corvallis. And I wouldn’t mind living there, too. I kinda like that li’l town.

Illinois - there’s a big city here with buildings so high you can’t see the top. And the carts here drive by themselves - they don’t need horses. We call them cars. We very modern. What do you folks in Ohio say to that. :)))

I lived in San Diego for 7 years – it rocks, but it’s getting more crowded and more like L.A. Can’t beat the weather or the laid-back attitude though. Santa Barbara is also very cool. I also liked Atlanta when I was there for a summer – good sized city, lots of young single people, very friendly, good weather (if you don’t mind hot-and-humid in the summer).

I’m originally from the Northeast (RI, MA). And I’ll never go back. I absolutely hate it up north now. The people are rude, the weather sucks, and I don’t care for the fast-paced city life. I’ve lived in Florida for 13 years now. I love it here. But I don’t like South Florida. I’d rather stay in North Florida. I’ve been out to Portland, Oregon, and really liked it. But I could never live there. There is too much rain, not enough warm temps and the beaches are not ideal for swimming.

My girlfriend lived in Hawaii for most of her life. She loved it there. After she completes school, there is a good chance she’ll want to go back. I’ve always wanted to go there, so maybe we’ll relocate together sometime in the future.

Central MT, huh? If you want my advice, buy the land as soon as you can. Prices are going through the roof as more development occurs. When I was born my parent’s house (incidentally, in Western MT) was the only one for blocks, and now it’s walled in on all four sides. This place has literally blown up in the past decade, and shows no signs of slowing.

Portland, Or. Big enough that there is stuff to do yet not so big to be a pain in the ass. Hour to the coast, hour to the mountains, mild weather. Salmon and steelhead, fishing. Great food, great, wine, and a coffe bar or microbrew pub on every corner. i have lived in Oregon for 34 years, and I have been to enough places to know that this is where I like to be.

Hey! I betcha you’ll change your tune after the six days of San Diego this August! Woo Hoo!!!

I was borned and raised in Hawaii and half yonsei. I lived in Oregon from September 94 thru to December 2000. I graduated from OSU in spring 98 with a BS in EXSS. Now I’m back home, but looking to move back to Oregon when I stay pau with massage school.

I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where it is daym hot and daym sunny, much more than San Diego. but i want to travel in America. anyways i have just one question, how do you guys in america put up with so much polution, like in LA and NYC,and all of the big cities, there are warnings all the time on your radio stations when i tune in. esspecially in LA, how do you train in that? that is crazy to me.??.

Colorado, the front range, ROCKS. The summers are warm, the winter skiing rocks, and the economy is awesome. Bodybuilding isn’t real prevalent here, but it isn’t real big anywhere but the west coast anyway. Hey JC, what part of Denver are you from? I know a JC from englewood who is into bodybuilding, wondering if it was you?

Hey Dustin, are you the same Dustin that goes to O.U. Seoul Brotha?

Doubt I’ll live anywhere else but San Diego… unless I’m offered a huge sum of money to live elsewhere. Allthough it would have to be a HUGE sum of money.

Only bad thing about San Diego is that every other person down here is into weightlifting, or looking good, but it’s very rare to ever hear any good info from them.

Hey Patricia, you’re into asian food? I like a few places in La Mesa, but the names escape me. Do you know of any great places I could take my girlfriend?

Jake: I live in Portland, OR. BUT, every late July, early August am in San Diego. I do like going into the Gaslamp district and check out the sushi bars there. When I’m in San Diego, I stay in the Little Italy area. And eat some really good, homecooked italian meals. I’ll have to check my notes from my past San Diego journeys - I know there is a Chinese place there that I really liked.

And if you're wondering, Ko and I will be there from July 30 to August 4 for the 2002 Comic-Con International! Woo Hoo! Can't wait!!!

Well, I’m Canadian so there’s a ton of places here I’d like to live…Vancouver Island, esp. Tofino, Vancouver itself, Toronto, even the Maritimes. In the USA, I love New Orleans and San Diego, but my all-time favourite has to be Kuaui…most beautiful place I’ve ever been. I love skiing and hiking too, so anywhere in the Canadian rockies or Colorado would be sweet as well.

NYC is totally overrated and really sucks during the winter. LA is even more overrated and sucks period. Planning on moving to the Bay Area.

I grew up in New Jersey, then moved to Pennsylvania and now I live In the Bay Area. I took a few months off a while ago and traveled the country with my ex girlfriend and we decided that this is the place to be. BUT the cost of living here is outrageous.

I might show at the Comic-Con for a day. I was never really into comics really, but I do like all the games/movie previews and such. You also get to see alot of ‘freaks.’ I guess it’s something like the Arnold.

I’m in seattle, but thinking of moving to portland because it is now like seattle used to be back before it got so stupid

or vegas maybe if i can find werk

Jake: Well, when you do go to the Comic Con, make sure you check out the Art Show. I’m planning on having work displayed and for sale there. Last year I tried it out, got a panel and displayed work. I had numerous offers for the work - nevertheless I had on display PRINTS and the offers were for the originals. SO, this year will be selling BOTH.

Coyote: Well the Seattle city planners useto mock the Portland city planners due to set limits to the height of skyscrappers and infusing public transportation into our downtown area and our lightrail system. Uh, I think they're regretting it all now. I agree, Portland is by far, MUCH better than Seattle now.
