I’m on 10 weeks of 100mg test cyp weekly so I’m curious as to whether I’m experiencing these compared to others so I can isoolate that’s it’s because of TRT.
My most difficult aspect of TRT has been controlling E2. Some of us are sensitive to it. Mine has been too low twice leading me to feel like crap, and too high twice causing the start of gyno.
What are the side effects you’re experiencing?
Sides are highly individualized which causes them to be inconsistent between people. That’s the problem on these forums where people are looking for a one size fits all solution however the biggest challenge with TRT is finding your own balance. Best thing you can do is eliminate variables. If you are experiencing things now that you didnt pre-TRT odds are something included (or lacking in) your protocol is causing it. Lots of good info here, do your research and work with your doc to fine tune your protocol only changing one thing at a time and giving your body weeks/months to stabilize to determine next steps.
Feeling aggressive or the need to hold my ground when talking to people. I’m afraid it might get me in trouble at work as I’ve noticed this and it pisses me off that people can’t admit they’re wrong. That’s the biggest issue. Kind of hard to explain but that’s the superficial/general side of it.
I’m also horny like everyday. Like sexual fantasies to the point where if I’m not getting any I get frustrated. I don’t masturbate or watch porn so keep that in mind.
Yeah it’s kind of hard to isolate cause I also take prescription amphetamine for ‘adult add’.
This is normal. Try and control it and tell yourself to stay calm.
Be assertive instead of an asshole.
Sometimes you have to be an asshole to be assertive, but always try the nice approach first.
***Also, maybe you are running too high.
When I was running a little to high for my own good, I found myself very aggressive. Abnormally so. I can be pretty mean when I think I’m right, but I was quicker to snap and stayed mad longer.
Went away when I lowered it into normal levels.
I can assure you that I absolutely will not keep your porn and masturbation habits in mind.
But yes, heightened libido and increased aggression are potential side effects of testosterone. The aggression usually comes from the estrogen side of the aisle being higher than is reasonable. But your dose of test is small, so I’d be surprised if it elevated e2 all that much.
LMFAO that was hilarious
