Suggest daily dosing the arimidex. I felt like crap taking a higher dose of arimidex. Now I take 1/10mg per day and I feel great.
Dissolve it in your choice of solvent and measure it out by volume.

Give it a few days to a week and go by how you feel. It was easy for me… Nipples itch so bad I want to burn them off? Need more arimidex. Your E2 is so high, you may want more, but it’s always easy to start low and add more if you need it. I started doing 1/14mg/day and it wasn’t quite enough.
When I took the 1mg arimidex at once, I felt like what I expected to feel like when I took the clomid - a cancer patient. Felt like crap for at least 2 days.
CRP is a general inflammatory marker and is not cardio specific. Could have been anything. But may be related to problems in neck as you described.
Homocysteine is cardio specific. Get that tested and also repeat CRP.
Long term inflammation can increase rT3.
OK, Paid for the full thyroid panel w/antibodies… I have to schedule blood collection.
I’d like to get my cortisol tested. I’ve spent the last 30min, looking at the stickies and searching the forum on which test to do? The functional doctor I ordered the thyroid test does the urine test. I’m not sure if I should do that or saliva or blood?
Do blood work. No one here really knows what to do with alternative results.
Here’s the latest labs on Thyroid @KSman :
TRT - I’m in week 4 using Clomid/AI. After week 2, I adjusted protocol to match closer with the restart sticky. 25mg Clomid EOD and .2mg AI at the same time. For 4-5 days, I felt like someone turned the volume level down on my symptoms, it was great! Last couple of days / week I think my e2 must be higher than before. I feel it in my wrists/hands and fingers also in my chest. I’ve also had an increase in anxiety. The bright side is rock hard erections and I feel like my testicles have swollen. My plan is to get new labs next week and adjust. Including PSA, any precautions I need to worry about? Thought I read not to have sex 48 hours before??
yes, abstain for PSA before labs.
fT3 looks good, but T4 oddly low.
fT3 is above mid-range, so body temps should be good, but you can’t bat 98.6 mid-afternoon. That is odd. Suggests interference, but rT3 is not an obvious cause. But this labs rT3 range seems to go higher than some others.
TSH suggests something minor going on, but a great improvement. But your introduction of iodine may take time in reducing TSH.
No issues with thyroid auto-immune
Wrists suggests low-E. Do not know what fingers would associate with. Chest means what, nipples activated?
When testes are recovering, changes can take a while to occur, so things may still be changing.
You can test:
TT
FT
LH/FSH !!!
E2
How is your mood?
@KSman
How long to abstain? 48 hours?
I think something is wrong with my thermometer… getting a new one soon
I can definitely tell I’ve been running warmer the last three+ weeks after taking the new daily vitamin that had iodine and selenium.
Wrist and finger joints in particular. A lot of discomfort in my joints that started after TRT. Before TRT I had more muscle stiffness (still do). Chest is more like pressure and I can feel my heartbeat. Maybe I’m a little more tingley in my chest and thighs?
I was going to pursue better HRT numbers first and if I’m still symptomatic, I was going to investigate a possible arthritis/lyme condition. I’ve read my high C Reactive Protien marker in 2013 is one of the markers used in a arthritis condition.
Testicles and raging erections have started to normalize. I’ve been having bladder spasms or cramping, I’ve read that can be a symptom of high E2?
Do you think this is a Clomid side effect or I’m an AI over responder?
I did the colonoscopy, it was clear with one small polyp that was removed. Waiting for a general tissue bioposy where they look for inflammation and other things.
Mood has been better. Anxiety has been up and down mostly down since the colonoscopy was done. That usually snowballs from researching and reading on whats wrong with me. ha.
I’ll have TT, FT, LH/FSH, E2 and PSA in 2+ weeks, that will put me in the 6+ week mark for TRT.
I was agreeing with your 48 hours…
Arthritis: I have this in my fingers. Found that naproxen and others simply did not work at any dose. Doc put me on Rx meloxicam 15mg once a day. Great relief, inflammation gone. See if you can get a trial of 2-3 months. At USA Walmart, one year supply is $40.
Fish oil and other EFA’s are anti-inflammatory. Anti-oxidants needed to cope with damage of inflammation.
Bladder? Had urinalysis and check for bacteria?
Prostatitis?
The anesthesia may be holding you down.
Only know of feeling down as a common clomid side effect. Nolvadex can be considered as an alternative.
CRP can be from any source of inflammation, including gums.
Thanks for the info.
I did have a urinalysis that came back normal.
I’m still dealing with body soreness muscle and joint. Hoping its E2 that we resolve after my next labs.
Also, I’m doing a EOD protocol… how bad is it if I forget a day and doing it the following day? How long until I normalize again? Also what day is the best for drawing labs? Day of meds before, day of meds after or morning after?
I always suggest labs halfway between injections.
With EOD and you miss a day and then do two back to back to catch up, the effects will be very trivial/minor - story of my life.
My symptoms and numbers are very similar to yours and getting T up did not affect brain fog and IBS. Your IBS symptoms and brain fog could be from a B12 deficiency. IBS and B12 deficiency often get misdiagnosed, and doctors usually don’t test for B12 anyway. If your vD3 was low it would be a good indicator of B12 also. Get some high dose 5000-10000 oral liquid B12 and take it daily for a few weeks. I get mine from tractor supply, its for chickens. If your cortisol is high and DHEA is low it indicates adrenal fatigue and this can wreak havoc on your hormones and nutrient absorption. Also cause joint pain. Read up on B12 and Cortisol/DHEA. If cortisol is elevated you should take DHEA or pregnenelone along with the B12 and add Flaxseed oil, coconut oil, fish oil, and Glucosamine/Condroitin twice a day which will help with the aching muscles and joints.
This protocol has helped me tremendously.
@KSman, @gonadthebarbarian, @Nashtide and others…
Finally got my 6 week labs back (verbal over phone):
I dosed Tueday at 9pm. Labs we’re drawn at 9am Weds.
EDITED 10/17 w ranges and additional values
TT: 779 ng/dl (350-1100)
FT: 1.72% (1.6-2.9)
Bio Available: 314 ng/dl (131-682)
SHBG 51.4 nmol/L (13.0-71.0)
E2 25.7 (0-39.8)
PSA 0.637 (0-4)
Cortisol - (Lab failed to test. Mailing order to have checked at labcorp)
Thyroid panel looked good. See post above on Aug 31st.
The good:
-Better sexually
-Lipoma pain has disappeared
-BMs have improved slightly
The Bad:
Overall, somethings are better somethings are worse. I feel like maybe somewhere between week 2 and 4 I shot past a sweet spot?
Current Protcol / Meds:
CLOMID 25mg EOD
ADEX .2mg EOD
Multi Vit 5 days/week
Vit D 5K IUs 5 days/week
Uro doesn’t want to see me again for 6 months. Do I tweak the protocol? Do I give it a couple more weeks? I’m thinking about scheduling some time with a rheumatologist to have them test for their list including Lyme.
Labs look OK.
E2 decent!
If you try Meloxicam and that works, you know something and have a known fix.
Any news re iodine and body temperature?
AM cortisol should be at ~8 AM
The MV I take 5 days a week has 159mcg of idoine and 122.5mcg of Selenium. We’ve also switched back to iodized salt weeks ago. New thermometer is on my list when I get a Clomid/Adex refill.
I’d be happy with those results.
I calmed down after six months or so. Hopefully your other symptoms also improve in time.
Which lab did you use and was the E2 test sensitive or ultra sensitive? I’m afraid my knowledge regarding clomid is limited.
I’m guessing “ESTRADIOL, ENHANCED” bc it was tested at the same lab that took it on the July 12 post (above) when it was 49.5. They’re mailing me results.
Ok, I’m not familiar with that terminology. If I had to guess, it suggests a more sensitive testing methodology. If that’s true, then your E2 is good and not causing the moodiness and brain fog etc.
I don’t know the difference. From the range, the E2 test looks good to me. Again, I don’t see anything to worry about here, stay the course and hopefully your symptoms will improve.
Snappy, annoyed and rage is from the T. You will level out.
If you start crying from a movie, that’s E2. But your E2 looks pretty well controlled to me.
Edit: BTW, I’m just a noob. I have read the stickies, and just parrot what I think KSMan would say. ![]()
