Its the uhhh effort I admire.

I’ll stop now.

Worth posting twice.

OK she looks a little bit more feminine in that one, but the picture before, ignore the fake tits (that have been stuck on afterwards) and put your thumb over the head.

What do you think of?

Lee Priest! Right?

You must have been traumatized once, lol.

I’ve totally forgotten, what were we talking about?

Oh my! Keep it up!
Pauline Nordin and Jelena are my idols really.

And Happy Anniversary!! 11 years is a lifetime this day and age.

I can’t remember. Got distracted by something shiny.

125 + bands x 5
drop set 125 + bs x 6, 115 + bs x 5, 95 + bs x 4

lateral raises

^^^^^ TBH I don’t think I could handle it if my partner was bigger, stronger and more ripped than me!

Could you?
She weighs about 130lbs. I’d be fine with it. Trust me.

Would I be OK with a powerlifting wife. Absolutely.
If she was 200+? That would be a problem.
I’ll keep that upper weight limit in mind Git

seriously band pullup vid is NICE! arms looking swole mmmmm

wifey hanging out in the shed with you is too cool also.

Glad you got off the weight loss train, we are so quick to dismiss the power of a little belly flab

Happy Anniversary!

That is so awesome that your wife has joined you in the shed. Its one more shared interest, and you reap the benefits of the visual appeal of her training next to you. Win-win.

Lots of interesting pics in here. Some of the looks I would strive for. Some I wouldn’t. But I’m in no danger since I’m hardly a mesomorph.

About your wife . . . what are her fitness goals? You think she might get into serious lifting with you?

And I’m envious about the WS program. I’ve been intrigued for a long time with that protocol.

Kimba, thanks! It has been a very nice anniversary. One of our best yet. I do like it when we train together even if we are doing different things.

Snap, to be honest, her goal at this point is to keep her ass perky (which I have no problem with). But she is doing it by hitting the major muscles. No brazilian butt blaster routines or whatever they are. I would be surprised if she got into lifting heavy. But, whatever keeps her active is fine by me.

Max lower day
Deads from a deficit with bands
135 + bands(+65) x 3
185 + bands x 3
225 + bands x 3
275 + bands x 3
315 + bands x 3
365 + bands x 3
395 + bands x 2…PR! Well, since I’ve never done a deficit DL with or without bands, it’s a cheap one. The bands really kick in just below knee level. This movement is a keeper.

Pete, some of the Westside material suggests that less experienced lifters (that’s me) can keep doing the same max movement for up to 3 weeks. What do you think about that approach?

Natural GHR with red band assist
10, 10, 10 (last 2 reps were max effort)
supersetted with
Wide grip chins
10,10,9

SLDL
225 x 10,10,10

Hams were fried after this.
Cool session.

Nice work Git, loving the bands DL, unfortunately I lost mine within a week of getting them, also congrats on the anniversary, 11 years married for me as well this past july.

Thanks Matty. Dude, bands are cheap. Order up some new ones.

Solid work. It looks like the band deads make lock out tough so if that’s a weak point for you you’re in luck.

I’m not sure about westside but typically it’s recommended not to fail on reps because it’s pretty hard on your body. At least it’s hard on mine…lol.

Nice video. You wanted that 3rd one bad.

My current sticking point is a few inches below the knee and these definitely work that. I prefer these to doing rack pulls from that height. I tend to be a bit lazy with my lockout…something to work on.

I agree about failing on lifts. But the target was 3 and I’m stubborn

I should have known better but if you don’t try, you don’t know. I can’t decide if I want to do the same lift next week and go for that 3rd rep.
