Where else was the old man supposed to sit? On the horse’s cock? Don’t answer that.

Of course not. That’d be weird.

Thanks, but no way I’m posting any of those stories here as some people have gone full Spock mode and seem to be providing excuses for stuff they didn’t see.
Like if I tell the story about the woman than dances and hops on the treadmill and pushes the buttons so that they beep along with the gym’s music they’d just say that maybe she’s training for Dance Dance Revolution or something.
Its more about you being average and making fun of people who are average. Its like when youre with a chick who is a 7 and she sees a 6.5 then proceeds to talk shit about her…

Nards, PLEEEZE start a thread with posts about different fucked-up things you’ve seen, heard, experienced at your gym.
Ever since you posted that vid a while ago of those idiots waiting for an elevator, I realized that I find THOSE people to be entertaining to hear about.

Im not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I wanted to know what kinds of weird things people have seen while at the gym in regards to exercises, lifting techniques, strange lifting atire, and people just doing some of the strangest things you have ever seen.
For example… One day I walked into the gym and saw two guys doing what appeared to be manual bicep curls and press downs with a towel (huh?).
OH…you mean like they do right before most bodybuilding competitions or like CT and myself did in the videos by using our own resistance by working lateral delts by pushing against a stationary object?
What you saw is pretty common. I am more worried that it was so strange to you.
Those are acceptable examples and in those cases I would’nt question it. You and CT clearly know what you are doing and so do people competing in bodybuilding competitions. These two gentleman at the gym were by no means “experienced” or attempting to do what you described. For all I know they could have been stretching so that they were warmed up and ready to use the ab machine next to them. Im not trying to judge inexperienced people or sugest that I am very experienced, nor am I questioning the use of towels during training provided that they are being used in an intelligent or innovative mannor to achieve a desired training result (strengthen grip, build static contraction strength in a muscle, stretch, etc.)

Yea Ive seen the vids and have been opposed to them from the beginning.
If Nards is so advanced in this gym shit why isnt he helping them rather than being a mouthbreathing voyeur?
I talk a lot of shit but Id never talk or look down on someone with the only intent of humiliating them. Yea Ive laughed at people lifting but best believe I made attempts at making sure they understood what they were doing is wrong and how to fix it.
Its completely classless to do otherwise.

Good point. He just seemed like he was having trouble unracking and reracking the weights. Thought it might be easier if he would turn around.

I think you’re missing the point of Nards’ vids. He lives in a different world. Some of the antics he has filmed are not the sort of behaviour you can fix with a few words of advice.
Some of the stuff, like the girl dancing on the treadmill, flys in the face of common sense. If he told her to use the treadmill properly I doubt her response would be positive. She knows how to use the treadmill properly otherwise she wouldn’t be able to dance around like she does. She does it that way because she wants to.
I hear what you’re saying, Rock. I appreciate and agree with the sentiment behind it, but Nards isn’t some assless facehole that hides in anonymity. He puts himself out there and isn’t the vindictive type.
His squat rack curl vid put it all in perspective. The cardinal sin of gyms around the world is probably CT-level innovation in the eyes of his fellow gym-goers.

Since when does doing something because you want to do it, in a manner that isn’t harming anyone at all, require “fixing”? Who’s to say what is and isn’t the correct way to use the treadmill? Why do we work out in the first place? Pretty much every reason boils down to a simple sentiment: we want to be happy/happier.
Looks and sounds to me like this crazed Flip is pretty happy doing what she does on the treadmill, so what’s the problem? She isn’t conforming to whatever outlandish standards you’ve set for everyone, including people on the other side of the Equator and in a different hemisphere?
She may know how to use the treadmill and this may be her choice to use it in the weird manner that she does, but I for one applaud her and her eccentricities. It’s about time people started going into the gym and started having some fun with their workouts. I can’t imagine that whatever rain dance she’s performing on that treadmill doesn’t have SOME sort of cardio aspect to it that benefits her. So what’s the problem?
Trust me on this when I say the two biggest problems on this site are sycophants who side with certain members regardless of what they say (no further comment on that), or posters that collectively chase after others because of certain unwritten rules, yet not just leave trolls who pride themselves on staying where they are alone, but defend them through reams of bullshit.

I’ve seen the video, and many like it. I did not read Rock’s post or your response since I was typing up my post when yours and his were posted. What does anything that either of you said have to do with my post?
I’ll ask again: what needs fixing on this woman’s part? Is her behavior on the treadmill a little dangerous perhaps? Sure, but so is a whole myriad of stuff that you and I do in the gym every day. Her behavior is probably no less dangerous than either of us snatching a large amount of weight overhead or axially-loading our spines with several hundred pounds.
She’s totally outlandish, yes. But so what? I agree with what Rock said and I understand he isn’t specifically going after Nards and neither am I. Nards is one of the nicest guys on this whole forum. But really, what’s the point of making fun of all this shit if you aren’t going to offer to help them if they are doing something wrong and what’s the point of ridiculing someone who is probably having more fun at the gym than you are, and maybe even getting some actual exercise at the same time, if it isn’t harming anyone in any way except to offend your convoluted sense of morality in the gym?
Instead of laughing and pointing at all the weird shit other people do, why don’t you tell us about some of the weird shit I’m sure that YOU have done at the gym. Look at one of the older squat rack curls threads: I listed off all sorts of bizarre shit I’ve done and others have done the same. Turn your harsh criticism and pretentious sense of what is “right” and “wrong” in the gym onto yourself for once. No one likes someone who can’t poke a little fun at themselves from time to time.
