OK so this post has very little point to it, other than to shamelessly plug Wegmans as my new favorite place. If anyone has one near them, do you agree that it’s the greatest possible supermarket, in terms of quality and selection? It’s worth the extra 20 min. in the car for the bulk organic section alone (which has nuts, rolled oats, flaxseeds, etc.)
Anyone else frequent this store and have any suggestions for ways to take nutritional advantage of the wide selection?
Wegmans is insanely awesome. I go there for the Almond Butter, alone. hahaha
Seriously, though, Wegmans really does have an amazing selection of “health” foods and just all the stuff you’d want for a really good low-carb diet, too. They seem to have everything in a low-carb version, which is awesome if you’re doing that whole thing…
Wegmans is an event. It’s by far the greatest super-market on the planet.
It’s always within the top 10 places to work.
If you have one near you, like me, I would recommend the Chunky Natural Peanut Butter. It’s so good that I crave it constantly.
Their chicken breats are also extremely lean and tastey. Each cut of meat is amazing as well. You can pretty much find any obscure food you need.
If any of you live near Pittsford, NY. You have the biggest Wegmans in the country I believe. The pre-made food area is as big as your average sized grocery. If you want HEALTHY pre-made food on your break from work if you ran out of food to take, do it up! The one draw back to their pre-made food is that it’s expensive. Although it’s impossible to find actually healthy pre-made food anywhere.
And one more thing, I would say 90% of the wegmans brand foods are as good or better than name-brand foods/products. So try them out and enjoy the discount!

And where is that? Pm me if you’d rather, we’re sorta neighbors as you can see, and with all these damn pro-Wegman’s posts now I actually want to see one.

I live in Wegmans Country. Rochester N.Y. They have everything you need. They suck to get around as they are always packed and I dont like how you can go to 2 different stores and find different products and different prices. other than that they are great. Everyone I know that works there loves it and they do alot in the community.

In Columbia, MD. I used to go to the one near Dulles in Sterling, VA when my girlfriend lived there. The current closest one to me is 15 min. north of Baltimore.
