Weather Channel Calls GW a SCAM!

Weather Channel Founder: Global Warming ??Greatest Scam in History??
By Noel Sheppard | November 7, 2007 - 17:58 ET

If the founder of The Weather Channel spoke out strongly against the manmade global warming myth, might media members notice?

We’re going to find out the answer to that question soon, for John Coleman wrote an article published at ICECAP Wednesday
http://icecap.us/index.php/go/joes-blog/comments_about_global_warming/
that should certainly garner attention from press members – assuming journalism hasn’t been completely replaced by propagandist activism, that is.

It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in [sic] allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the “research” to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.

Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild “scientific” scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda. Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmental conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15 minutes documentary segment.

I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril. I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.

In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious.

Let’s hope so, John; let’s hope so.

Then they’d better fire Dr. Heidi Cullen, 'cause she is one of the biggest trumpeters of the global warming crap…

The fact that you know the name of a Weather Channel personality is disturbing on at least two levels.

Read this yesterday, the same day they did a special about the weather changes in our climate as a result of global warming (specifically with regard to the California wild fires).

Which is it? He actually thinks its a crock of shit but is fine cashing in on it?

He’s just trying to get out of paying his fair share of carbon credits.

Shame on him for being all sciency n’shit.

Debunked already.

Just mindless stupidity. Not even on a funny level. But no, there’s no reason for the media to cover the non -scientific ramblings of a retired weatherman, with no expertise in climate change, anymore than the media needs to cover other laymen who believe earth is center of the universe.

Also enough with the tinfoil hat conspiracy bullshit already.

He was with them for the first year. That’s all. The Weather Channel (like everybody else in the triple digit IQ range) absolutely is able to recognize the globe is warming. So no, he’s not cashing in.

No relation to regional climate change on the other planets and the global warming on earth. Also sun has been ruled out as source of global warming.
Some scientists remembered there was a sun and added it to models.

So the sun doesn’t warm anything?

Maybe you need to find a new crew of Junk Scientists to quote if they “forgot” there was a sun.

The sun has been ruled out? What a fucking joke. Everyone understands the sun is the source of the heat. You are really clueless!!!

[quote]100meters wrote:

Considering your fabulously exhaustive counterargument of “debunked”, mindless and stupidity aren’t slants you should just be tossing around.

Okay, so we have data “supporting” global warming from biologists studying coral, toads, and polar bears. We have botanists measuring fossilized tree leaves and oceanographers measuring tide tables and every amateur college undergraduate in climatology programs everywhere “supporting” global warming. And the results are all brought to us by an educationally derelict ex-vice president. But a fucking weatherman has no clue what he’s talking about when it comes to climate and weather? To make things easier, could you provide a list of people we should listen to when it comes to the climate? Or maybe the criteria you use to accept or reject someone’s input?

BTW- Out of curiosity 100meters, where did you get your Ph.D. in Climatology (or was it meteorology or biology) from?

Actually, the sun hasn’t been ruled out. Typical of the “consensus”, some models include it, some don’t, and some aren’t known either way because algorithmic elements are kept secret. On top of that, NASA freely admits that the satellite data required to measure this is lacking and even if our current satellite bank were sufficient, the historical solar data is overwhelmingly proxy and piecemeal and isn’t comparable to the temperature record.

The guys said the sun has been ruled out as the source of global warming. I don’t know if that’s true. He didn’t say it isn’t the source of the heat. He said global warming

Yet you come to the conclusion that he thinks the sun isn’t the source of heat in our solar system ? ? ?

You’re either stupid or don’t have a basic understanding of the English language. Either way, you are indeed really clueless.

I see that a lot in the global warming discussion. People who are barely able to write down their own name are questioning established scientists. The consensus is that there is a global warming. That doesn’t make it a fact, but it means we have to consider it.

And if you don’t know anything about science and the meaning of consensus in science: it’s not a fact that the earth rotates around the sun. That’s merely a consensus.

I see this a lot in GW discussions. Uneducated idiots thinking junk science is anywhere close to real scientists.

But - the new school of outcome-based “science” has certainly fooled a lot of people. Too bad they haven’t the collective intelligence to unwrap a piece of Juicy-Fruit.

Heat causes warming.

Now that we have that out of the way any scientist that claims the increased output of the sun is not responsible in whole or in part for increased Earth temperatures must demonstrate why.

As the data is so sketchy and incomplete and the fact that no one can even say what the temperature of the Earth is I am very wary of any scientist that makes such a claim.

In fact I think they are lying or being misrepresented by media reports.

As an engineers that has been in the environmental business for 15 years I am fully capable of seeing the holes in the politically motivated global warming promoters arguments.

The people that don’t understand that warming comes from heat are not as fortunate as I am.
