Waukesha WI Parade Tragedy

Well…you are definitely right about that

Wouldn’t say:

No dude… but, finding out the cause of that hate and nipping it in the bud can most likely decrease the chances of this event or something similar happening again. Then again we do not know his motives.

Stop embarrassing yourself. You’re from California right? Who’s looting and stealing all the shit in San Francisco?

I stand by my argument. You know what narratives I’m talking about. If the guy was white, and drive through a crowd of black people, or even white people, this shit would explode on social media, news. You’ll get riots even maybe…

I am not sure that is what the criminal justice system is set up to do. I believe the main goal is to keep society reasonably safe.

It cost less money this way. Society is just as safe. I am good with this.

Using the death penalty has resulted in us as a society executing people who later turned out to be likely not guilty. It is an outdated form of punishment. Costs a lot more on average, and doesn’t achieve much other than revenge.

So the national media is covering this incident? Or are they still not?

How do you wish the narrative of this tragedy be told by the media?

I guess that’s how you feel… then you’ve got a lot of compassion, even for degenerates.

If somebody kills a family member or friend of yours, you’d be fine with the murderer getting to live out the rest of his life in jail?

Why don’t you answer my question?

How do you think the media would cover this if the suspect was White? And if he killed black people instead of non blacks? I’m waiting.

You don’t need to have compassion for degenerates to see that capital punishment is really stupid. If the goal is to keep society safe, then why spend twice as much to use capital punishment?

It is also reality that we have executed people who most likely did not commit the crime they were executed for. You can compensate and release someone from prison if you find out our justice system failed, and got the wrong person. You can’t bring them back from execution. The fact that our justice system has convicted people who are not guilty of the crimes they are charged with is enough for me to say we probably shouldn’t use capital punishment.

Just ask me. I’m losing track of the shit in this thread. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.

While i agree with you on a lot of this, it does not take into account the effect the death penalty has as a deterrent - but that is also an unquantifiable metric. I would like to believe more people would think twice about comitting a crime knowing they can - and will - be killed for it, but that’s being pretty optimistic too.

Go for it.

On average states without the death penalty have lower murder rates than states with it.

Source:

Now, it is a fact that states that have the death penalty generally have other things going on that could increase murder rates. They are generally states that have lower income per capita, lower education levels, etc… I do think the graph above shows that it isn’t a huge deterrent to murder though as murder rate has been higher in states with it for the last 30 years.

So it’s apparent it’s being covered in the national media. But choice of words are interesting. People can read it for themselves.

No ties or suspicion of domestic terrorism. Like I’ve said, if the guy was white, this would possibly be painted as one of those alt right terrorist acts. And god forbid if the victims were Black… there would be cries of racism right away and protests and even riots all over the nation.

FYI, I have no love for alt right, far right types, whatever you wanna call them. But let’s not kid ourselves that there isn’t a lot of double standards and hypocrisy in the media when it comes to incidents like these.

As for the narrative, there’s a difference between narratives and facts, reality. This guys social media page is quite telling, with his support for BLM, and some of his tweets apparently calling out for violence towards white peoples and members of law enforcement.

your turn, buddy.

Why would there be riots and protests?

Holy shit. You must be living in another country or just trolling me.
